I've tried everything, making a new profile, installing Fallujah manually, uninstalling it and installing it through DayZCommander, joining other maps to update BattleEye, joining private hives, nothing works. I get stuck on either loading or receiving every time, without fail. Even trying to join a server right after it restarted didn't work. Is this problem on my end somewhere? Is there a fix for this? :::Edit::: I've even tried leaving the game loading while I went outside and did something for 15 minutes. I come back to find it is still sitting there on the loading screen.

I'm getting this same thing. Every Fallujah server I've tried to join gets me stuck on either loading or receiving, and I have to ctrl-alt-del to get out of it. I've tried reinstalling it manually, through DayZCommander, and I'm able to join other maps just fine. I'm really not sure what the issue is. I was able to play Fallujah once for about 30 minutes, and after that I can't join any server, even ones on a private hive.

I'm still getting stuck at loading on your server. I got past receiving though, so that's a start. Also, I tried creating a new profile and then logging in, but that new profile got stuck at receiving on a different server.

Some way of FORCING players to be UNABLE to despawn during any sort of combat would be nice. I'm totally sick of getting popped by a sniper for no reason, then locating him and firing back, only to watch him disappear and later reappear in a flanking position to finish me off. I don't use douchebag tactics, and I know many others who don't, but those who DO should be punished, or not allowed to in the first place. Also, *ahem* excuse my language, but... FUCK BANDITS. They have no visible skin to tell if they ARE bandits, and they have forced me to shoot on sight, because 99.999999999% of encounters with other players that I DON'T shoot on sight shoot ME on sight. I realize this is the way the game is, and is also what keeps you on your toes, but still, it would be nice if we could at least SPOT who is a bandit and who isn't, that way we MIGHT have the ability to cooperate with other players. It IS a survival game after all, and in real life the zombies would be a common enemy for MOST people... MOST people won't just murder other people on sight, ESPECIALLY if they saw that this other person has better skills/better weapons than them.... they would want their HELP. Sure, they may betray them while they're asleep or have their backs turned, but chances are they would refrain from murder, as part of HUMAN NATURE. So yeah... rant over.. the point is bandits should be forced to have a different outfit, or even just a different colored hat or something to distinguish them from the players who like REALISM and choose NOT to murder another human being for a can of beans. Like I said, the rant is over. All in all, the game is amazing... one of the best I've ever played, certainly the most enjoyable free-roam zombie game I've ever played, AND it's still only in alpha, so that is just AMAZING. Thank you so much Rocket, I hope you completely redesign the industry. Now if only you could completely redesign the assholes that play in the industry. :)

Sadly no screenshots, because the ability to take them doesn't seem to be built into the game, and I don't like having fraps open unless I'm going to use it, and even then I close it back down when I'm done.

Just thought I would let people know, hackers just hit US53, spawning jets and flying around. It just happened 1 minute ago. I will be staying off of DayZ until this hacker problem has been fixed. This is the second time today a server I was on got hacked. Last time, earlier this morning, there was someone mass teleporting players to the roof of the firehouse in the northwest airfield. I still don't understand why it is so hard to keep the hackers out. Doesn't battle eye prevent that?

I know there are different backpacks... my main point was the safe zone and the trading possibilities. I didn't know about the tent.... how do you find one? And also, can you pick it back up once you set it? Also, and this is because of what just happened.... it would be really nice if I didn't pass out when a zombie came charging at me. I had full blood, water and food were green, but one hit from a zombie and I pass out... next thing I know I'm dead. I think that's a little off... in reality the adrenaline alone would keep you from passing out.

The only thing I really don't like about the game is that I have no way of trading or storing valuables, so for things that you might want but don't have the room for, you just have to leave them. If there were some storage locations (or safe zones with storage boxes) for people to use, that would be amazing. It could have the same amount of space as a pack, and you could store an extra weapon, extra ammo, medical supplies, food, etc... that way if you ran out of something, or just wanted to organize your loot so you have more room in your pack, it would be right there. Possibly could still have it be wiped on death, that way people aren't able to just pick right back up after dying, but while you're still alive it could still be there. Would increase survivability and hopefully (if it were a designated 'safe zone') would engcourage more teamplay and allow for trading between players without the fear of getting stabbed in the back. Just a thought.

I would like to apologize for my misplaced frustration. I did not mean to insult other members. I also was given incorrect information about how zombies spawn, and that led to confusion, which in turn led to mistakenly calling out a fellow member of the forum. Don't know about the flashlight yet, but I've found it's just best to avoid cities and large populations of zombies (btw, my definition of 'large populations' for this game so far is more than 2), because they run super fast, super far, don't seem to really get caught on anything very easily, and about 6 times out of 10, once one starts chasing you, you're going to die. Wow that was one hell of a run-on sentence. Biggest tip I can give after my hour or so of play time is move slow, try not to make too much noise, and most importantly, try to stay calm.

I'm guessing you're one of those by your comment. The fewer players on a server, the fewer zombies on that server, and the smaller chance of dying. THAT seems pretty obvious. Jackass.

So, are they getting DDOSed again? I was JUST playing about 25 minutes ago, and got offline for a few minutes, and now I can't get past character create screen... tried about 4 servers in different areas. Any info??

Google is your friend. I'm sure you can figure out what time 4pm GMT is in central time. Seriously, you were able to figure out how to install and play, but not how to tell time differences? Sorry to sound so condescending, but dude... it's time zones... not like it's something new that has recently sprung up around the world.

I still have no idea why anyone would ddos a freaking video game. I mean, if you have the skills (albeit very BASIC skills) to take down servers, don't you think that your time would be better spent taking down, say, government servers instead? Why waste your time on video game servers? Just because you got banned for doing something you shouldn't have been doing in the first place?
