I made a mistake only once to trust somebody yelling into mic that he is friendly. After 2 minutes of walking around he shot me in the head. I've been shot on so many times without weapons on me, that i decided to stick with: shoot first, ask later routine.. Its been working fine till now, I just got sniped while taking some meds from hospital. Didnt see it from where it came..

I'm running lastest beta and dayz and I dont have a problem with gutting animals.. Did try a goat, boar, cow, even managed to snitch a rabbit:D

The part of whole exp in DayZ is to orient and to try to survive on your own. There are other MMORPG games where you can play with friends..

I just wanted to point out, that game shouldnt be easy or less boring. If you happen to find yourself in a z apoc, can you choose where you gonna wake up? You were washed on a shore from some boat that was evacing.. Random spawns are there to add some diversity. And I have spawned for at least 20 times now and not a single time I was in cherno/elektro. Spawning adds a bit of a shock: where am I? Where is the food? It would be too easy to always start somewhere close to food drops, water drops. PPL need to learn how to survive without knowing where they are..

Its part of a survival game. CoD is -> that way..

From programmatic point of view its hard to differentiate between alt+f4 and genuine DC due to PC freeze/internet crash/cat on a keyboard. yes, program can catch alt+f4 combo, but ppl will just start killing program with some other program. Its not had to have cmd prompt opened and use pskill to kill arma2oa.exe.. Only solution is logoff/logon timer -> if you DC, you are in game, standing still/laying down for 30 seconds. after that you disappear. All additional logouts after that in some time frame extend this period, time frame beeing 1 hour.. Its not hard to find a cover when you really need to go, so that 30seconds its not a problem. At the end: its only a game, if you get killed you can start all over. Get some friends to save you some stuff that you really need to start all over.. If you have borked internet, dont play. Put your cat in other room. Fix your PC first.

Well, L84 combined with dupping and server hopping is problematic. Player spots you, DCs, goes to different server, switches location and logs back in behind you. Ohh, and not to mention aimbots..

Hmm, interesting error.. I think you can find a dump file with more exact errors somewhere.. Try looking for it..

Its not backpack, its whole server not saving your stats. Thats just a problem with lag and desync.. I ussualy when i get nice stuff simply logoff and reconnect to the same server.

Interesting stuff: yesterday I managed to get all of my gear back and I spawned correctly. I was playing till late night, when i logged off. This morning story repeats: connect to a server -> Gender selection. I quit the server and will try to connect to some other server in few minutes..

HDD is irrelevant in this case, guys. Why all the fuzz about 7.5k RPM drive if all the textures are rather in the memory. Just upgrade ram, that should work. I suggest getting 8GB ram (its cheapest upgrade for you) but u will have to use 64bit version of OS then! Your CPU is good for now. Next upgrade is GPU. There are some cheap GPUs now on the market which will boost your score up alot. Which is dependant on your motherboard ofc.. Alienware is shit. You pay 20% of the price just because its alienware build! Where are you from?

Well, I'm sure that i didnt die. I had full blood and i was in the middle of nowhere. I checked all the directions and no player was around. When i logged in, i got gretted with select gender..

Same here! Very annoying since you guys cannot replenish my stuff.. I remember that i left server with full blood and some pretty awesome gear on me! I login back to server with gender selection. I know this is alpha, i know about dont get attached to your gear, i just wanna point out that it happens and it might be a good idea to investigate a little:D
