As far as i know the best chance of the necessary survival tools (compass, watch, matches, hunting knife etc) spawning is in the supermarket, correct me if i'm wrong someone.

You don't need beans to give them tactics, just saying. I thought the bean system was so people can show that they like a post, no idea why you would want beans so bad that you won't post unless you get "15 beans"...

I have had many many situations where i havn't taken a shot at someone and it costed my character, I've told the story before but i don't remember what thread so i guess i'll just post one of the situations where i didn't shoot and ended up getting shot. So i was at the Elektro firestation waiting for my freshly spawned friend to link up with me so we could head back north. I was on the foot of the small hill to the south of the station and i had pretty decent cover under and behind a bush and i see what was about 5 or so people only one of them had a gun, looked to be an akm. I just watch this guy with his 4 un-armed partners all walk right past me and at one point i have a completely un-obstructed view of him and i decide that i didn't want to risk my decent gear for somebody thats only good item is an ak so i let them pass. This is where i made a huge mistake. As the guys were moving toward the station gate i move to a crouched position and start to distance myself from them to avoid Mr. akm from possibly seeing me from the firestation tower, i guess he spotted me moving behind the bushes and before i even knew i was spotted i hear the loud cracks as bullets zoom around me and i'm shown "you are dead". Lesson learned. I now shoot if you have a gun.

I don't even stay around main cities so i never run into "cod kiddies" except when i respawn, but i still don't understand the enjoyment you can get out of killing unarmed/lightly armed players. What really pisses me off is that people don't understand the difference between "bandits" and "pkers/Cod Kids". Bandits like you said kill because they want your items (beans). But the guy sitting on the Cherno towers with a scoped rifle is not a Bandit, he's an asshole.

Ghillies arn't really great anyway (if somebody has lower terrain settings they can see you anyway as grass won't appear) i think their main advantage is that they hide your pack, hard to hide in the grass when your pack rises half a meter off your back LOL.

Unless you're my age (15) and naturally most of your friends are similar ages having a girl in the group doesn't go very well. At all.

For me to say it took me ages to settle on a server would be an understatement.

This guy was carrying two NVG's? That in itself is asking to be killed. Also i thought you can't loot a ghillie if they're wearing it, or was he just not wearing it?

I'm torn on it, it's valid because it stops them from immediately re-gearing on the off chance that you kill them but at the same time i think it would really suck to have everything you've spent so long building up destroyed. Plus it would come in handy if you're ever in the area and feel like stopping in to help yourself to some goods.

I have little to no respect for people who do that.

I know jack about guns, i say clip i say magazine i don't know what the hell to call it.

I've destroyed anti-material rifles in my bag before, Manly tears. But seriously i was tired and thought if i dropped it in my pack it would swap it out for the primary already in my bag along with the ammo... I was really tired.

This is the only game that i have ever had to take regular breaks from, i just need to stop for a few minutes to gather myself. Game plays on paranoia really really well.

You keep pretty cool about it considering that your camp was blown up, i commend that you didn't caps rage.

Meh, no idea why you would want to hang around Elektro with a rifle shooting players that have barely any good items.

Since i'm too lazy to look into it and you might know, is the server restart deletion of tents whose owner has died intended? And another question; how long do they have to be in-active for a de-spawn to occur?

I'm for a crashsite-like crashed vehicle in the woods, maybe it could be like you suggested an APC or some sort of military vehicle that got over-run with zombies.

If you get the graphical engine bug i'm not sure about the updater but using this as your default launch options might fix it: -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz -nosplash If you don't already know you right click arrowhead click properties then set default launch options.

My ones emptied completely on a restart, lost a LOT of good gear.
