My name ingame is "Preme" I joined this server, killed someone near Elektro within 10 minutes of joining who had an AS-50 TWS and G36C Silenced. Obviously, I took both and my friend and I "robo noob" headed to Cherno. I was then sniped and my friend Robo took shelter nearby, we were then promptly banned. The server owners name is "extrude" and he was the one who banned us, we found out about his server from the Blockland Forums and he then posted this: First of all, neither of us had an M14 AIM, Robonoob had a M4 Silenced and thats it. He then posts this soon after (PS: I dont think M14 AIM silenced even exists in Arma 2 OA?) He says that he banned us for having "hacked weapons" I was not aware these were hacked weapons but I had heard that rocket said it was OK to have weapons from hackers as long as you didnt spawn them in yourselves. This last post also shows how little knowledge extrude has about DayZ, saying how Admins just spawn us in guns.

Suggestions about zombie spawns when relating to gun audible distances.

Sounds good, hope servers can handle it. +1 -

So let me just ask, both of you would prefer the entire game to be a death match with zombies? That doesnt seem to be Rockets vision at all. -
If you didnt know already: ARMA 2 AI fucking sucks. It mostly involves laying with your face in a wall. Zombies in DayZ are smarter than insurgents in ARMA.

Its not "Punishing" players you dolt. Its bringing more challenge to killing players in larger towns + cities (where most close quarters player interactions occur) Your not using logic, if your mom asks you to take out the trash, is she punishing you? -

You simply arent thinking, Im sorry, It isnt at all punishing players for killing others, its making killing players not always the number ONE choice like it is now.You can kill players without worry in the wilderness, or if you have a open avenue of escape. Also: for the tad bit at the end, you guessed wrong. (I suggest you re-read what you type before you post to prevent yourself from looking a fool again) -

Im not at all discouraging PVP, I am simply making way for other ways of interaction between strangers that isn't one killing the other.Believe or not, dude, this game was not intended to be a death match. -
Would be cool, I think DayZ needs more Mid-Long range weapons similar to the FN FAL or M14 AIM.

Im not at all suggesting PvP be taken out the game, have you read the thread or are just assuming things?Im attempting to bring more of the Risk/Reward aspect that Dayz is built on into PvP. There is currently ZERO risk (not to mention it is boring) in shooting someone in the back of the head with your makorav when you could have interacted with them, each person calculating their next move carefully. -
I dont know if Wind is already in DayZ or what, but if it isnt; DayZ servers are already at or OVER their capacity, adding in more things like this that need to be controlled by the server but dont make any major improvements to gameplaye are most likely not going to work.

No problem :-)

Thats not what this thread is about, its about that time when you walk into the back of a super market and see a guy with his back turned to you with an AK on his back. You would like that AK but you know if you shoot him you are good as dead from the zombies that would be attracted by the smell of his fresh corpse (or scream or whatever). You dont have to team up, but you both know you cant kill one another and get away safely, so you make a temporary truce. Rocket in all his interviews says he wants DayZ to make the player feel something, and I feel these suggestions could do well to stimulate that. -
You can press "Printscreen" then open up Paint and press CTRL+V to take a screen shot of anything, FYI

I understand, however, the VAST majority of all killings that go on in Cherno/Elektro are over loot. There are sometimes dickhead snipers on top of the hospital but what can we really do to prevent that? Everyones first instinct nowadays is too shoot first think later. If shooting another player in a city brimming with zombies was a near-fatal mistake, hopefully players would start thinking first. -
I feel like it would just make death more frustrating.
