Dansterr, you won't get it back, for a simple reason. The Blockwart faction has decided on how you have to play the game. Heading for action e.g. to Elektro or Cherno is not allowed. They want you to do lonesome wolf survival or faction building. Run through forests, fight zombies, listen to the gras growing, you name it. Alternatively commit suicide as often as you want. Jump off lighthouses of fucking Kamenka, break legs at bridges and respawn, find zombies. Massive time wasting.

Hi, I'm located in Germany. I've just realized that there are massive differences in Login. Why? After pressing "Connect" on LU or FR-Servers: "Loading" immediately appears and just takes very few seconds, and I'm in. On most other servers: "Preparing" -> "Waiting for Character to create" (<n> seconds) -> "Loading..." (n*10 seconds) (At least 1-2 minutes, up to endless) Why are there such differences? If I see "waiting for Character" then I already know it's a fail. I count the seconds, because I know, the following "Loading" takes maybe 10 times as long... TIA -

This. Any ideas on this? Because I simply have no ideas. "We don't need rewards for not shooting other people but penalties for doing so" - hmmm, but what about realism? I think we agree, (just as a simple example) an instant blood loss if you kill a player is just unrealistic, because the same should happen when you kill a Zombie. But as DayZ currently works, I'm already lucky if I don't get killed if I'm unarmed. Happened today to me, I had no weapon and surrendered, didn't move: And the armed player let me run. Unbelieveable these days. -

Well yesterday I went to Elektro several times and there was a guy walking through buildings and driving with the bike through buildings! I was then in the Restaurant building and definitely couldn't be seen from outside - got shot, pressed y, got shot again - dead. AFAIK they don't have buildings and the bullet is calculated client side. -
Chernarus, DayZ, we love it, but sometimes many of us don't feel like doing a long-term survival project, but rather PVP like. If we had two Chernarus worlds depending on which servers we choose, would it be wrong? Just face it. Watch twitch streams. Many players seeking for PVP. World1: Zombie apocalypse, spare loot, hard survival times World2: No Zombies, a lot more players, global chat, more random loot. ITT, a serious question, coz I am not an Arma veteran. Is World2 already possible in Arma II multiplayer? The random loot side of it? ITT: No kiddie blahblah (World2=COD kids)

Exactly, in fact people are playing it PVP like, their heart does not beat if they meet Zombies, but if they meet players. Take all Zombies away and you have the same experience as currently exists. I know many regret that fact and wish for harder Zombies. Its of course a valid point, not to change DayZ to something that it is not. But can you advise me: How/where can I find enough people to do PVP on the Arma II Chernarus map? Everyone is playing dayz. You think I have to find them outside the dayZ world, right? TIA. I still think: Servers with all DayZ-Options, but without Zombies and more players: Why not? -

According to the DayZ 31337 evangelists, this is the wrong game for you, because you're not afraid of Zombies. Your heart would beat without zombies as well. So you must be co called PVP and COD kiddie. -

I have PMC+BAF and still suffer from heavy artifacts. VRAM set to default. Yeah, you can flush the vram, but artifacts re-appear. maybe it also depends on vram size, 1.2GB here. (gtx570) -

I'd say, real Zombies, I mean the real reality ones... kill you immediately with one hit and run much faster like you. Also, in a real post apocalyptic world all buildings are bombed and give no shelter. Immediate player kill by Zombies (at latest after 10 seconds) would be a nice feature. It would add the frustration level real 1337 DayZ players are seeking for! And yes I agree PVP really started after removal of side chat/no weapon policy. -

What a bullshit are people (all in all stooopid Windows gamers, if you see it from the 1337 Linux perspective) writing here about Yahoo chatters and COD? The idea behind all of this is: a) We, the developers want to make DayZ imitate reality (which is bollocks, IMO) B) In DayZ reality, you should feel lost, alone, etc. a + b -> The gamer should have no fun and entertainment Its coz the elite playersd and developers know what is good for you... Also I think its not possible with Arma. But yeah. Removal of entertainment and inclusion of time wasting is what happened in DayZ development lately.- -
With 1.7.2.5, I tried like 10 servers this morning, all with Ping < 100, stuck at "Loading". My patience goes until maybe 3 Minutes, then I have to kill the Arma process.

DayZ is just great. It's such a great running simulation after a respawn in Kamenka. I always hated Arma because of shooting and weapons. Now DayZ gave me the opportunity to run and crawl for hours! This is what everyone wishes to play after a hard days work! -

DayZ is at a pretty bad state indeed. Unplayable areas because of glitches plus the lack of a respawn button, which in fact means hard working people, searching for entertainment in their spare time, now have to find a zombie or jump off a lighthouse, if the e.g. respwan in Kamenka. WASTE OF TIME. Also, way less entertainment since blue side channel has gone. Its a personal preference. Some want initial action and maybe head towards Elektro/Cherno. Others may want a long-term project and go north. But now DayZ decides. I ask you, after working 10+ hours, whats the benefit of respawning in Kamenka and then start running for hours? Finding a vehicle once in a year? Not every gamer is a pupil or student or unemployed. -
Cherno was unplayable for me.
