This game shouldn't exist for reality reasons, because in reality most of us do not like or risk to die. So please shut down the hive server! -
I'll stop playing until this gets resolved. I'm sure the arma devs realized its serious. this. If one can't stand the heat, he won't do software. No matter is Open/Closed/Free/Pay... Hopefully.

Same here, I was almost blind @ Balota Airfield and decided to jump off the tower :( Nvidia GTX-570, Driver 301.24, will update today... Hmm shouldn't work. I always run in that wide angle view and had the artifacts problem. Serious problem, makes DayZ unplayable.

C'mon, after the last DayZ update Zombies were just deaf and blind. Before they were pretty hard to manage. I lost against a hatchet man today. I fired like 10 times on him, maybe I hit him 3 times? 4 times? I have no idea, but that definitely is too weak. Cos now you'd better do a zigzag hatchet attack. -

I hope this is not supposed as cheating. Everyone who has a Microsoft Keyboard will probably have installed MS Intellitype. If not, Google and get it. It is capable of Macros, but not well documented. Our target is to have: - Set one key as permanent w keypress - Set another key as "release w" You can have Intellitype to apply these specific settings only for Arma II. 1. Start Intellitype and add an automatic Program setting just for Arma 2 OA (point it to the Arma II OA executable): 2. Add two Macros (here the button is called): "Makro zuweisen". The following screen appears: Its a bit strange to use. What you see in the DayZ start macro is "hold key w down". The DayZ stop macro shows a w similarly, but with "up" arrow, which means "release w". 3. Type "w" into the editor window. You get "W10" which means "press w for 10 seconds". Select it, rightclick and click "split". Then you get all single elements of it: "press w", "10 seconds", "release". So, for the "DayZ w start" Macro, just leave "w[arrowdown]". Save the macro, create another one "DayZ w stop", leave the "w[arrowup]" there. Save macro, go out the macro editor. 4. Choose the 2 keys which you want to use the macros. I chose the "Documents" and "Pictures" keys, which are to the left of my keyboard. YOU'RE DONE! An auto running character! EDIT: Maybe you even don't need the stop button/macro, which is great. AFAICS the char does stop if you press the "Dayz w start" button a second time. -
A valid point. I'd say: Find some Zombies and try to aggro them. As for ALT-F4: definitely there must be coming some more punishment soon.

No, not a straight line, personally I still use the mouse, but my left hand doesn't need to press the w for long range runs. This is way more relaxed. But there seems to be another problem: The macro works like you press 2xW... -

If you have an MS keyboard, you have Intellitype. It has macro functionality. You find it in the start menu "microsoft keyboard"- but its the worst documented thing ever. With the following, I manage to have it press "w" for 5 seconds. My problem is, I don't know how the key press can be stopped. I have not much time for investigation, maybe someone else can? I'd also like to have my char run automatically, and only use the mouse for giving it the direction... EDIT, I have a perfect solution, I'll report soon... -

More quiet than Elektro definitely. Cherno meant boredom for me. I was there on three servers today, I was there for action. Nothing happened. Did not meet a single player. Once I had my legs broken, I was ready to die, I smashed my hatchet against the monument in the center a couple of times. No player. Also on Twitch I saw a player who wanted to have PVP action, but no player in Cherno. I think Cherno is big, but not that attractive. Cherno dies. -
Almost one hour of attacks on me in the bottom floor of the tower at Balota Airfield. I was on the floor, sometimes below the stairs andI had some AK* Weapons and ammo, but broken legs and 2000 blood. So I passed out every now and then... There were about 3 or 4 enemies... I hoped I may get all and get some food... I killed to when they tried to invade... But this took long. The were good, worked with smoke grenades. But finally their sniper was at a point where he could hit me through the window... He failed so often and I felt safe... But then YOU ARE DEAD,,,, good fun though.

WTF Global/side chat removed?

It's the second MAIN reason why DayZ is now PVP. Chat was fun, was helpful, was communication - removed. BAD. You always looked to the bottom left? I didn't care if I hadnn't time to care what people wrote. Is DayZ a German? Someone does not like it -> Chat VERBOTEN -
I like the Enfield, good performance from the far range, good power. I usually prefer it over the 1866, even if its louder.

I didn't even reach Stary. Probably I'm still a too bad player, and because I get impatient at some point -and run- I always manage to aggro Zombies and finally die by Zombie attacks. Sometimes that Zombie Wankers knock you out by one single hit. Probably only the best guys up in north. Or teams. -

I found a DMR at Balota Airfield. Admittedly that seems to be a rare case. It depends of how you feel. To me, trips to the north are rewarding, but simetimes too long and I don't feel like. Sometimes I want more action and try to survive in Cherno/Electro. And C'mon: people in Cherno or Electro want to die. :D
