I personally hope this works out, You seriously need to hire guards and people to watch the tree line, you're gunna need like 5 guards at minimum. Also, i would try to show up, but I can't risk it, I'm carrying two camping tents and haven't figured out where to put them. :P Also again, it's currently 12:30 PM where I am, how long do I got? I plan on watching and guarding it. If all is safe, I'll be there.

I do wonder why people like to make little stories about green mountain, I've been there a million times and not seen anything, just loot and zed. It does have a military spawn so that's nice. -

Sure, I'm gunna hit the armory and see what it takes to take one down. (Btw, is there a sandbox map I can find that has everything on it so I can easily test?) If anyone's going helicopter hunting, I can give you an estimate of how much damage is needed to take it down. Roughly 6 shots to the engine compartment will break the engine, when using an AKM. Scale that depending on the weapon. -

I personally am going to shoot down every last one I find, unless there's a way I can steal it. When the servers restart it's going to be impossible to find them at their spawns due to admins/hackers/clans. So, I'm just gunna kill em all. :P -
Poll: DayZ or The War Z?

You can't make any decisions yet because THE BETA ISN'T EVEN AVAILABLE YET. So you can't say "oh what ya gunna do?" quite yet. Personally, I'm going to try it, I've registered for the beta and am waiting a response, it looks more player friendly as in the idea that it's not too hardcore. Now, I've been looking for a hardcore game that isn't too evil and makes me sweat (the first game that's been able to do it to me ever), and DayZ has done it, I don't know about The War Z since it looks more social. -
So, what's the long term goal for vehicles?

Why don't we just make it so vehicles can spawn over and over and over again forever? Or until they hit a limit of like 3/4, 2/3, or 1/1 of the server's player limit? But give them a spawn chance of like 0.05% or 0.10%, either way statistically they'll be the rarest of items, the current rarest, other than vehicles, has a spawn rate of 0.11% and I think it's the GPS. -
Personally, I don't care too much if the weapons are nerfed, but my enfield, I miss it.

You know what would be interesting? If you could shoot the chopper down and then if it survived, repair it and use it.

I don't know why you people are so intent on getting the button back, I'm kinda glad it's gone, now I don't have to be fearful that when I open the menu, I won't kill myself. -
I'm alright with the nerf it won't kill me, the only thing that bugs me a ton is that they nerfed the enfield. They gave it half the damage, and half the noise. :(

You know what I think? The game was difficult, and people were new and weren't all streaming in from the Yogscast and such (Mind you I watch them too). People needed to trust each other to learn the game, now, there's loot guides, tutorials, and even hacks. Nobody needs to eam up anymore, that's why I always push to make the game brutal, to give incentive to groups. I remember my first social experiences, three people. The first two were on my first day, I was sprinting through electro because sneaking wasn't working, and I turned the corner. I saw two guys crawling around saying "careful". As soon as I saw them I told them to run, and they bolted, one I followed because he carried a weapon, the other left. in the end, I ended up giving him a broken leg and I lost half my health to some ass in the firehouse. The third guy was a noob spawning on the beach, I tried to share some supplies but had nothing to spare, so instead I told him of the shotgun and pistol I passed earlier, and he ran off, thanking me, just after we wished eachother luck. There's only been one other time when I found friendlies, it was yesterday, in the electro church, two guys holed up and they both helped me out, wished eachother luck and I was off to the market. Only to get killed by a camper with an AK, whom which I couldn't kill due to the damage nerf. I shot him 3 times in the chest with a double-barreled shotgun, and got him hit by a zombie a few times, did nothing but bleed. No bones broken or anything. and it took him two clips to kill me (he missed like 75% of his shots). -

Something should be done that's special, we should all just meet in electro, set up campfires, share drinks and food, and enjoy. We also need a bunch of guards, and who's gunna manage the fireworks? -

The nerfs are too much, even for the regular game really. For the game, it's minorly acceptable, except the fact that the Lee Enfield is half as good now. -

Trust no one, the only way you'll ever make friends, is to approach them with no weapon, and pray they aren't assholes, atleast, that's how I've had to do it for the past month, only worked 2 times outta 90. I highly recommend getting a friend or two, or four. Weapons have been severely nerfed, giving players with military gear and hackers extreme boosts and buffs. Almost all low tier weaponry has had their effectiveness cut in half, even the Lee Enfield, our last line of defense against hackers and snipers is now battered and injured. Players, hackers, and duppers have been stockpiling wire and are blocking off high yield loot buildings so noobs don't have access to them. CHERNO AND ELECTRO ARE NO LONGER SAFE, THEY'RE ALMOST NOT EVEN WORTH GOING TO. Bandit clans have been organizing groups to take over the large yield towns and kill anyone they find. We must gather our strength as one, for too long have we fought amongst each other, among our own brothers and sisters of Chenarus! It is time we band together! And take back what is ours. our cities! Our land! Our country! Our lives! To join and find strength and safety within each other! We must leave the darkness of the woods that we have stolen ourselves to, reveling in the darkness and the relative safety it once brought. But those days are gone, lost to the wind and the sands o time. It's time for us to band together! My brothers! My sisters! We will cast off the bandit oppressors, the infected menace that hold their claws to our throats. We will retake the cities! We will rebuild society! Power and electricity will once again be restored! And by the strength of the brothers and sisters of Chenarus... We will survive. We will prosper. WE. WILL. WIN! -

Don't worry, you may leave your beans with me, I'll keep them safe. Now, without all the bullcrap, they've nerfed just about all the DayZ weapons that are non-military grade, and a few that are. Including the Lee Enfield, it now needs two shots to kill, where as regular snipers are unaffected.

In a way, it has, however it's a shame, I do play the regular game and this kinda sucks. Idk, I do wish it was to be changed back, but I suppose that's not going to happen and Rocket'll do something about it. Atleast keep the enfield the same, like seriously, what the hell was so bad about it?

The respawn button isn't gone, it's still active, you may only use it when you have a broken bone though. Now stop bitching about it, I'd be complaining about the reduced weapon damage instead of something which could've used a good fix and got one. They disabled it because people were accidentally pressing it and losing all their gear, the unable to be chosen spawn point is just a side effect, which I personally don't mind, there's three deer stands near Kamenka, the worst spawn I could think of is the Three Valleys spawn point, but even that's not so bad. If you get teleported or transformed or sent into limbo, just wait to starve, tab out and watch something it doesn't matter. I'm seriously beginning to wonder how many people on this forum log on and instantly post a thread without even looking it up. Plus, you don't even consider both sides, as far as you're concerned, it doesn't benefit you directly so it is a terrible terrible thing. Grow up a little and think before you do.
