Run towards them at a fast space with the microphone on screaming random sounds (of your own preference - i like to make murloc sounds) and then hack them down with your hatchet! Hopefully you would have startled the shit out of the player and scored yourself a hacking-kill. In all seriousness, do what you want. If you feel uneasy or threatened, gun them down. Otherwise escape the area in a stealth-like fashion and hope he doesn't follow (or even have seen you for that matter).

Hi there, me and my friends were playing in Elektro regrouping after spawning all over the place with the new update. And after a few close calls with people going down, we retreated to the hills to log off for the night. One of us decided to start taking shots at zombies in the distance, seeing how far we can hit with the lee enfield and CZ, when i decided to run down to the supermarket and grab some supplies. On my way back all three of my clan mates are killed. I see what i can only describe as "lazer beams" or tracer rounds. I've looked around on the internet and can't find any information on this, nobody was around, and no-one is looting the bodies. We are all baffled to what happened. Can anyone enlighten me?

Yeah we presumed it was an LMG of sorts, the Gunfire sounded really heavy and the rate of fire was definately not a sniper. Cheers for clearing that up:) Supposed to be a secret bro! Stop spreading it!

Really depends on the current gear I currently have, or how long i have been alive. If I have just spawned i don't give a rat's ass, i'm running through towns grabbing what I can while mobile, running along roads and hacking/shooting at any player I come across, if they happen to have some nice loot and trusted me, i'm sorry survival of the fittest. However when I have some okay-ish loot (usually with 3-4 friends) I am alot more cautious and start playing more stealthily, only shooting when neccesary. We don't like to fight against other players unless they are looting something we have just travelled for, Stary, NW airfield etc. I'm usually the navigator because i always get us from point A to B without fail, which has resulted in me dying a few times. We never run along roads, we go across the terrain using my compass and sense of direction. We kill and gut any animal we come across and fill our water bottles at any pond. We have a nice set-up going, but it doesn't stop us fearing for our lives when we hear gunfire or see another player. We tend to stay away from the coast unless someone died and has spawned there, or maybe we need to get morphine or blood bags, but since the instant leg breaking zombies were changed with super aggroing zombies, we dont need to carry as much anymore. It all depends on what gear we currently have, and what our plans are or what location we are currently in, if we are near the NW airfield we are generally on full alert, but if we are at the coast and running around with makarovs we generally don't care.

The zombies are not meant to move around like this, and the development team are working on getting the new animations into the game, but remember its alpha so some things will be weird at the start, its not a polished game and there are alot of bugs at the moment. Rockets presentation at rezzed: (talks about their use of motion capture technology for the new zombie animations) But all in all this was a great read, reminds me of when I first started playing.

I would recommend dropping the current weapon to the floor, taking the new weapon out and then placing the weapon on the floor in your backpack. I lost an M4A1 yesterday swapping my AKM to the M4 straight from the backpack, it appeared in my hands, then vanished. I risk it all the time with my M14 AIM, but i know one of these days its just going to vanish too. If its not worth the risk, or its a rare weapon etc, just drop it to the ground, may take longer, but how pissed would you be if your L85 AWS or something vanished :P

I used to only find people who would kill people on sight but i've been really lucky lately and found some nice people to play with. I was in elektro in the store, and a guy was bleeding to death with a broken leg, so i fixed him up with my meds, and then we got to talking. We then met with his friend, and through finding other people we have 6 people to play with now. Some people are just here to make everyones life a living hell, and others are just nice people. But yeah if we see anyone we dont like the look of, we are going to kill them, trying to get 4 people to spawn near the same place of the coast just takes too many respawns :P

I actually stumbled upon a robbery happening at the balota airstrip. I seen 3 guys at the hanger and I had a revolver, so i was cautious and approached. There was a guy with an AKM pointed at an unarmed guy who was more centre from my view point, and another guy with a lee-enfield pointed at the same guy. I heard someone say over comms "Give us all of your loot" to which the guy replied in chat "I only have 1 beans". I had seen enough, gunned them all down on the spot. Seriously who doesnt watch their flanks when they are trying to kill/rob a player? I'm not sure if this was a "setup" robbery for youtube or something, but i do know it felt great to kill the robbers and end the victims misery. More loot for me!

Okay so today im playing on UK6 running around the hills of elektro with my AKM. I'm looking for those guys that snipe there, hopefully try get a better weapon? Anyways so i hear this gunshot, that sounds alot like a 50 caliber. So i hit the deck and start crawling around, hoping to hear another gun shot. I look down to the fire station and see a tent with a player running towards it.. and then 5 50 calliber shots ensue. But this time the shots are nearby. So that means ive managed to sneak past him right? So i crawl into the woods and i spot the guy, with what looks to be a AS50, either way its a 50 cal from the look. So i wait for him to stop moving around, and then bang i light him up with 3 shots. He dies instantly from a headshot. But in the bottom left of the screen it says "DangerMan dies from friendly fire (Adam-Desktop)" (my in-game name, no idea why its that. would love to change it). So i runs on over to his corpse thinking this is my lucky day. Corpse instantly disappears... So what the f**k just happened? Never seen that message before? Is this guy a hacker? A few minutes later im running through more hillside trying to get out of there as fast as possible and i hear more 50 cal shots, and then bang im dead. what are the odds of two people using a similar weapon camping elektro?

After i killed the guy and i was running away. AKM shots pretty much tell everyone that theres someone in the hills. I got killed after hearing more 50 cal shots. Could have been coincidental, but it seemed a little unlikely. I never saw the guy who ended me, so i couldnt cofirm it was the same guy, but it was someone using the same weapon.

Doesn't explain how my guy came back with totally different gear to what he had. He also did not leave the server. Least its not me going crazy. Just hope that whatever the guy did gets fixed soon. Its the second body to disappear on me today, i got jumped in a barn with a guy with a bizon. So i killed him with my remington and then started looting and his body dissapeared. Really annoying, wanted his stuff, he hurt me :P

Thats the issue i cant change it that way, i can sit there clicking in the name box all day and it wont let me change. I can change my looks, but i cant change the name. Or is this cause i have an active character?

I personally don't like to shoot on sight, i don't know who the other player is or what they have, so why waste my precious ammo on them? However when i see them with a rifle, a lee enfield, a kalashnikov variant, or a carbine. I get paranoid, but only if i have a good weapon. I recently got a L85 Thermal by an absolute fluke. I'm not sticking around long enough to see what your reaction is, when someone sees a weapon they want, they start to shoot. Thats now my current reaction, if i see them lay in a field, or moving in the opposite direction fine, but any attempt to follow me, or looking at me a little too much, you can guarantee you will find a hole in your body that wasn't there previously. This is only after countless times of being killed for no reason, i've helped the odd guy getting chased by a horde of zombies, bandaged them up and then started on my way, only to get shot in the back of the head. Your life and gear are a result of the time invested in your current survival attempt, are you willing to roll the dice whether or not to trust the next guy who comes along?

Clearly people here in england do not comprehend that GMT BST (the time we are currently using) is GMT+1. Daylights savings and all that BS.
