So walls will not be invulnerable? With walls not having a level 6+7, not being replaced on a restart and being destroyed by just a hatchet; I honestly don't see a point to them. Is anything changing with gates? Right now I have my base consisting of JUST gates due to them being invulnerable and un-pickable. My base is just vulnerable from helis. Some other changes that I think should be done are halving the amount of weapons in stashes. I'd prefer a max of 4 honestly. Items slots is fine at 150 or whatever it is. Tents/stashes also shouldn't be able to put placed inside objects like rocks, sheds, etc. It's crazy some of the places people are putting these things. If you could put the same ownership on tents/stashes like you have with walls. So if you die, you can still upgrade or take down your tent later. -

Something I'd like to be adjusted for next patch is medium stash hit points. Right now with an axe a small stash is destroyed in 1-2 hits, a camping tent 2-3, a dome tent is unhittable and a medium stash is.... 60+ hits. That's a bit ridiculous. Dome tents being hittable would be nice too. I know you can drive over and destroy them, but I can't axe or burn them atm. Also with the attachment system improving, can we start adding a cco to the fal? I love the fal but having only iron sights or night vision scope only makes it a bit unusable -

quick question about walls: If I build 2-3 walls on top of each other (same space so it looks like just 1 wall), will they all blow up if someone satchels it? I know if you build a wall on a pre-existing game wall/fence; the satchel takes down the player wall, but ignores the cement/wood wall that is part of the terrain. -

If you can just fix the issue when someone upgrades a fence, they become the new owners; that would be a huge help. It's too easy to walk up to a base with 1 nail and basically be inside in 30 secs. yes I should have max level walls but to have ALL the walls max level would require HUNDREDS of nails... I could save the nails until I'm ready but then I run major risk of someone finding my stash and taking all the nails or even taking the base spot I was going to use. -
I'm starting to stock up on mats now, but not sure what will actually be used. Here's list of potential mats imo: metal screws corrugated sheet sheet metal steel beam 1" pipe 2" pipe Tank trap brick rusty sheet metal scrap electronics (guessing for weapon mods) duct tape sandbags Anything on this list that won't be used in crafting or base building? Or anything I missed?

Very little research? Please point me to an UP TO DATE website with dayz mod loot table. Every site I've seen is 1.8.1/2 info at best. Are you guys finding the padlocks on bodies or loot piles? If it's piles, which type?

By asking everyone that plays, and having the only heli. Nothing is respawning after restart. We tested it several times by destroying vehicles right before restart. I check vehicle spawn points constantly. This is 436 which has very few players so it's not like people are taking them

Are padlocks enabled?? No one on 434 or 436 has seen one yet. It would be nice to upgrade our gates.

I play on 434/436 which is 99% vanilla stats. Myself and everyone I've asked have yet to see a padlock drop to upgrade the wooden gate with. Are they actually enabled as a drop? Also, is there a bug that screwed up vehicle respawns? No vehicles are respawning after a server restart and we're down to under 10 left on the map. Lastly, is there an up to date website for vanilla mod changes, recipes, stats, etc? Every site I've seen is rather outdated. I'm messing around a lot with base building and struggling to find info about the new changes. And where are the best places to farm nails? One fully upgraded wall needs SEVEN nails! I have maybe 30 nails total after 2 weeks of daily playing and farming. I think the requirements need to be lowered a bit.

And this isn't really about dean, its about the mod and its future. The devs claim they can't release patch until its approved. Well, approved from WHO? Dean? He's jumped ship. And once SA was released, his authority over the mod should hve been relinquished. As I said in the OP, let's start evolving this mod to its max potential. Or have the devs all jumped ship too now? Id rather not have to switch to private servers that actually evolve their mods -

Are you guys reading the same news I am?? Article I read stated dean is looking to start his own company in NZ. He will still have some role in dayz but not a lot. The undertone I got from the news was he is moving on and looking to start his next game. The $ he got from dayz gave him the funding to do what he wants. Which apparently is to NOT work on dayz... You guys really think he's gonna focus on dayz while starting up his own company?? And I'm the naive one? -

about the server lag: I get 15-20ms ping on 3480 but there's a very noticeable time delay on any action. Trying to loot something is a 1-2sec delay when clicking arrow. I think the lag is from so many zombies spawning . 3480 usually has 35-50 ppl on it and majority of em are in a city so there's probably 1500+ zombies spawned on the server. -

1.8.1 has been ready since oct ffs. "Waiting for deans approval" is absurd. He has abandon the mod months ago and now abandoning the SA. Please release the patch. I guarantee it will bring a lot of ppl back to mod. For next patch it would be great if u could work on performance issues like animations and server lag when there's 35+ ppl on. You guys have no one to report to now, so let's evolve this mod to its max potential!
