This might have been asked before in a different context, or maybe its just common knowledge and im just stupid, but can anyone tell me is the character saved locally on the hard drive or is it saved in some online database. In other words, would I be okay re-installing dayz without my character being deleted. Thanks

Gah i have to keep double taking the amount of people playing since apparently near 70,000 people are playing and its the first day of release... Well anyway i'd have to agree with everyone else here that weather you're going to play or not, buy it anyway because youll eventually play and the price will just go higher.

Turn antialiasing to disabled instead of low... That will get you a large fps boost until you can get a better card.

I was shocked too... Well i had windows on it though... The only downside was that it had to be on ULTRA LOW... And nights were pitch black, and like 12fps, 8 in cities, and it was only 200 farenheit! Hooray for apple products!

Im not absolutely sure im right here... But i played dayz on very low with a 2.3ghz processor and 64mb of vram... So you probably could run it on low until someone else responds with where you can get one of those cards..

The first idea is probably aleready implemented... The second idea i really like because it (probably) wouldnt be much trouble to implement even if they just make it so if you bleed a certain amount in your clothes then change clothes, the old clothes become named bloody clothes... Or furthermore if they would go all out on that which isnt meeded then that would be cool (shades) The third idea im not really sure thats almost too realistic and would probably be hard to implement... The fourth idea just seems really hardcore, and from what ive been hearing, thats what dayz is starting to be now... Haaarddcoorees

Meh 55 celcius is fine... Your gpu might just be insanely throttling because maybe it thinks that its max temp is 55 celcius... And if thats the case i am of no help.

Im just going to skip the first 8 pages of nonsense... Some people just want to have a nice time with people, chill out, do some pve and make some friends instead of pvping and having to run away from zombies and people... I think the proper solution would be to have regular servers then an occasional pveserver for people to come make friends and loot around... EDIT: nevermind there are aleready PvE servers... Sorry i have been gone for 8 months :s... Too long sorry amazing people of dayz :(

Not that anyone cares about me really, but im going to bring us all on a trip wayyy back.... It was april or march 2012 and i could've sworn i was playing Dayz version 1.4 something, but i am probably wrong. Either way anyone who remembers it it was filled with hackers and sometimes you would die for no apparent reason, and the big hype was finding helicopters and running away from the hacker with the Jason mask on... Plus you had addon maps coming out shortly after and private hives and stuff... Now i log onto dayzmod.com, and i see that theres version 1.7.7 and im like "WHAT??" now i feel like i need to go and read all the changelogs and watch 80 game plays on youtube. ps. i know im probably never supposed to mention this here, but i was playing warz for a while and it really is a trainwreck... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear moderators, im sorry if i did something wrong in this post or if i posted it in the wrong place sorry :( Feel free to get me up to date about what goes on here now, and some of the amazing new changes that have been made :)
