DayZ has several patch numbers to follow. First there's the MOD version: 1.7.2.3 is currant. Most servers are running that. Then there's your ARMA2 Combines Ops Beta client which should be matching the Server version number. In six luancher is that last colum all the way left. Here's a link: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ While you can use the six luancher to auto update both, it doesn't fliter out the server version. You might want to try the DAYZ Commander app: http://www.dayzcommander.com/ For me, its the easier way to find server that might work. Also you may manauly downgrade your arma 2 combines ops beta client to the version of the server if they are slow in upgrading yet you still want to play there. In a few cases you can sometimes play with your local client being a high version then the server's version. Sometime a warning, lately hasn't been working. Always upgrading to the lastest beta does not mean you'll be able to play anywhere. As many servers take a few days to week before updating. I suggest finding a server with a good ping, and listed admin or clan, and then making that your home server. Keep you game updated to whatever they are running.
