    haha ur lost maybe at a deer stand. (pretty unlikely)morphine is the big reason why everyone heads towards the big citys. Also read the forums a bit more there are good starting tips and threads that will and can help you.
  3. Tracking players / Hiding Bodys / PvP / the Chat and the difficulty to find other players. Hello Guys, I hope you do not mind my bad english.....:angel: So im fairly new to Day Z and up to now i had a ton of fun with this game. So a big shoutout to Rocket and the Guys working on the Mod. So as i was playin the last ten days i had some ideas that came up with the difficulties that i had so far in my experience. Actualy i have more than one suggestion to make that i think (in my opinion) would add up to the day Z experience. So i will give each of those a separate part in my post but they all link up together to improve what we got here. Tracking players /hiding Bodys::idea: I red somewhere here about how players wish to improve tracking methodes to hunt down or just stalk other persons. Actualy i like the feeling when i can tell that im on the same path as somebody else just by looking at the loot in an area or the corpses on the ground. So i got two fairly easy to implement suggestions on that part. 1. 1a. I think there should not be the option to !hide corpses! may that be in a city or in the wilderness. Hiding bodys doesnt add something to the game i think it takes something away. Actualy its a nobrainer cause there are no drawbacks to it. I like to think about the idea that there are consequences to consider when i kill a goat or a player. I have to think about it... Do i want to drag it to a more secure location so nobody will find it or do i risk the option to get the attention from someone else(may that be friend or foe). 1b. In PvP there is another Problem with that. I got the feeling that PKers choose to !hide corpses! to destroy the loot so there are less well armed Players in the area giving them an easier time and of course to not alert others survives in the area of there presence. Also i guess it bugs the flies surrounding the corpse. !!! Im not sure about the last paragraph but i think hiding the body destroys the loot they got so forgive me if im wrong.... ;) !!! 2. Consumables: Take out the spawns of !empty Coke!, !empty Pepsi! , !empty Beans! and so on. I guess theres a !empty (insert name)! for every consumable. Implement when i consume a !Coke! (just an example) that the game deletes the coke( as usual) and drops a !empty Coke! on the floor. So now i got to choose... Do i take it with me to be safe or do i just leave it there. Again i think the drawbacks of each option are clear. ;) --------------------------------------------------------------- in both 1. and 2. i think it would be even a good idea to take it a step further and implement a timer like i dont know lets say half an hour. Example in case two: After an half an hour the empty coke turns into a empty can. COZ WE ALL FRIGGIN LOVE CANS. U still can identify that it was droped by a player due to its location but u know he might not be near anymore... I guess those two changes would improve player interaction / and tracking of each other even thou you are not next to each other. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PvP / the Chat and the difficulty to find other players.:idea: Thats a pretty hot topic and everybody got his own opinion on it so please do not derail this into a flamewar. With these suggestions im not trying to take away from i guess u could say the mindset in which you want to play this game. First things First. My Opinion At the moment i think its has become a bit hard to find someone who you can play with. (not against ;) ) Particularly in the starting areas and the Citys at the coast. As it stands right now i think there is an advantage in favor to just kill on sight. Since it is more safe to shoot everbody instead of try and find out what they are up to. And dont get me wrong these changes arent ment to be nerfes to this kind of playstyle. (at least not directly) I do like and enjoy the tension of meeting other players and the possibility's of being shot at. But i think a little help for those who want to play together would add to the overall experience of day z. So as i was thinking about the aspect of the pvp and how to approach it myself and stay true to my playstyle I read somewhere here that its up to us to try and find a way to work around that “problem”. And i totally agree with that statement. However at the Moment i think the mod lacks the tools to do it in a enjoyable fashion. the second thing i was thinking about how lost and alone i feel in the huge world of day z and how nice it would be to see at least some guys talkin in chat when im running to my destination. But i dont want to get rid of the “Lost and Alone” feeling overall cause i think it is a feeling u should have ind this scenario. So i m thinking about Radio stations and walky talkys to help both of these concerns. My suggestions : These are fairly big implementations so i dont know if this is within the possibility's of the devs. 1. Add. Walky Talky`s to the game as a toolbelt item. So u have to find one before u can talk to other players within the reach of the Radio station in the area. It would help the players to join forces for whichever task they want to achieve. 1a. For the survivors: The survivors could team up so they arent a easy prey for PKers in the area and roam the city together. Maybe even hunt them down to get their revenge on previous kills. I guess that the introduction of Radio Stations and Walky Talkys would add fun to both “camps” in this war. 1b. For the Bandits: I guess its just as exciting when all of the sudden u are the prey and have to stay alive. Or finish of a group of three that want to see you dead. Hell u even can join forces with another Bandit to even out your chances. 2. Implement Radio Stations to the Map on Points of interest which cover a certain area. I dont think they should cover the whole map. And of course u cant talk to players in the reach of another radio station. Again thes suggestions can be refined or tweaked as example: Radiostations can be destroyed or repaired.... Sorry for the long post here is a Potatoe And sorry for my bad english skillz.:angel:
