Yeah it doesnt save new stuff anymore. I can put new stuff in it, save it, next day all the new stuff will be gone and my old stuff will be there.

There is a HUGE fps fix which should be a requirement for the game. Its only for INTEL users but you are one so. Disable Hyperthreading in bios. It will 2x your fps. I went from 25 fps til 65-70. Basicly why its a problem is that hyperthreading simulates you have extra cores, it adds virtual cores which the game will treat as physical cores. So its spreading the performance to each core, but its spreading it to 8 cores causes of your quad core. Which means you are getting 50% less performance because of hyperthreading. Not all games are like this, but hyperthreading should be disabled for all multi core cpus.

Well he says he was using the AS50 with Thermal which is not in the game, not to be confused with the L85 AWS. I see other reports reporting the same rifle beeing on some players. Definetaly alot of fishy stuff going on in Norway servers, have no clue why as we are such a little country :P Why bother us ?

Power of cheaters in this game is almost at the same level of GTAIV. People basicly are able to mod the world. Earlier today i saw someone got teleported and then transformed into a sheep. They can spawn gear on you, vehicles and basicly be god in this game. Although i love this game i think i will put the game on shelves soon cause of hackers. I see no point in spending 8 hours working on a character to have it lost by a hacker having fun.

Although i agree with the logout fix its going to create some angry people including me when facing hackers that teleport you. Basicly you will die now instead of ALT+F4 and saving your character. Times i encountered teleport hacks today is 4 times on different servers. So with this "fix" i will definetaly loose my character soon.

Took me 2 weeks to learn this game, i went from thinking this is a bad game to now knowing its the best game ive ever played in my entire life. (im 30 years old). Please watch tutorials on youtube so u grasp the basics, u will get hooked i promise you that.

There are zombies there and there is usually people there. I died at a castle on a server with 5 players including me. What are the odds huh :P Usually u can find binoculars there and maybe weapons.

Destroying tents is a waste, you are basicly destroying a valuable resource. Sure they might move the camp when they see its looted too many times but still, you could keep the gear on the map. When its destroyed u have to wait for a 0.28% spawn chance in buildings covered with players and zombies.

I could give you NVG's right now this second if you are north east. Add me on Steam if interested. But the transaction will go like i drop the NVG's on a flat ground, then you do the same a couple metres away. And no friends nearby, i will spot them.

Please consider keeping it in with the amount of hacking going on in this game. I've already lost my character 8 times due to hackers teleporting me to death, ALT+F4 have saved me recently. Avoiding kills is really not the biggest issue this game has, hackers are whats destroying the game.

DayZ is already planned to be standalone and will most likely be worked on if not already worked on for Arma 3 engine. War Z we know nothing about, we have many ideas from the developers, but they are just "ideas". Rocket have stated that many of the features they want is incredible difficult to do and they are going to do it on a brand new engine. The Arma engine has been worked on for 10 years and its one of a kind. So for a new game to just simulate that amount of work i really doubt will happen. Also many of the ideas of War Z is to have safe camps and have shops there. In DayZ there is a simulated world where loot can be anywhere and there is nothing like "safe". So already War Z is going casual, they will also have a Casual and Hardcore modes .... In DayZ there is no option for that, this is the best experience there is period.

Sounds good on paper but disconnecting can save you from hackers as well. Dont look at it from one perspective. Right now there is tons of hackers in this game, look at Cheat Reporting. There is average of 60-80 threads per DAY. We need disconnect to save ourselfs. Hackers are teleporting people from anywhere and killing them off.

This is a very important point he made right there guys. Seriously i see the problem with people ALT+F4 to save they're lives, but to save yourself from hackers is a valuable tool. Last night a hacker was teleporting every player to the airfield and killing them off, when i was loading in i read the chat "F hackers" so i managed to alt+f4 soon as i spawned and saved my life. So Rocket if you are reading this, please do not remove disconnects before hackers have been removed.

Been killed off so many times in this game i have lost count, and its turned me into a "Shoot on sight" kind of person like other people are doing. Well after getting shot and killed, i runned from Kamenka and 20 minutes running going North into the wilderness, basicly nothing for miles and miles. I see a guard tower in the woods and immediatly check it out cause of sniper rifles may spawn there. I see a dead body laying there and when i go to loot the guy actually speaks, he is broken his legs and is bleeding badly. He has a shotgun and is aiming at me so my heart is pumping like crazy, but i cant manage to kill this guy. So i gave him morphine and patch him up. And here is the crazy part.....this guy is from my country, and the more crazy part ? We are from the same freakin city. We found out we live 5 minutes away from each other. He introduced me to his teammates which in turn geared me up fully eventually. So yeah .... it may seem easier to just shoot everyone on sight, but sometimes beeing good can pay off big time.

That sounds weird, how do they plan to get the stuff out of there ? They have boats :P

Happened just now, entire server was teleported to the NW Airfield where we got shot at immediatly. Some english guy in voice talk saying "relax relax its ok" and laughing his ass off while everyone died. This is a major big server btw with 75 players full. I dont want to think of all the hours lost together ............ the hacker problem is ruining the game.

I am shooting on sight as well. Have played this game long enough that i know everyone is looking for gear, so trust nobody but your real life friends. Dont think this is what Rocket wanted with DayZ, its not realistic that 99% of players start murdering everyone. But its so gear dependent game

Im using L85s and i have no problem whatsoever.

Look at the Walking Dead for example, the television series. They are living in outskirts of towns afraid walking anything longer than the limits of theyre homes. Sometimes they have to go to towns to get medical supplies or maybe look for weapons. But at a GREAT cost, zombies can be there and also they've met several other "groups" that had the intention of killing them for they're own gains. So what we are experiencing in DayZ is how it should be i think. But the problem is that when you die, you dont die you can just respawn. Thats the problem and breaks kinda the "realistic balance". Which means people can take risks and get revenge on people. So games can never simulate real life situations unless you create The Matrix.

Its almost impossible to navigate some servers now, people are basicly telling theyre friendly and then shooting you in the back. 100% of my last encounters have shot me on sight . I see people are getting killed off every 10 seconds on my servers. And for people saying "Well thats not realistic to change skin, expect the unexpected". Well thats kinda hard when the game is not realistic either, you can simulate a realistic system without having realistic elements. Take telling if a person is bad for example, how do you do that in real life ? Like if its someone you can trust or not ? You kinda see it on the way he behaves and what he do. But there is nothing like that in any games nor will there be for the next 10 years cause emotions are not in the game. Thats why we need some artificial elements to help us.

Date/Time: July 4th 2012 What happened: On Chicago 60 which is running version 1.7.0 still, it lets people with newest patch in so we get tons of bugs cause of that. 1. No zombies, sometimes u can see 1 zombie in an entire city but thats very rare. 2. You can still loot stuff and bring this on up-to-date servers. 3. If you die on this server, you will respawn at the last place you disconnected with your gear. That means its easy to dupe your stuff as someone can kill you and you spawn again and loot your corpse. People are doing this like crazy on Chicago 60. Where you were: Chicago 60 North West Airfield What you were doing: We found out by accident, we got killed off and we were shocked to see we actually spawned with our gear again and that we could bring it to the up-to-date servers. We tried out with many items we found and anything could be duped, except vehicles ofcourse. Only items that can be in your inventory. People running the 1.7.0 patch could still use the global chat channel, we couldnt though. And they couldnt see our gear either but we could see each other. They could die and see zombies, we with up-to-date patch couldnt. I mean you can fence in your stuff but its so easy to bypass that by changing server and entering the room, then changing back to the server. Any way to prevent this behaviour ?

You can join Canada 2 server and its only going east for 2 minutes and youre out. But there is a 90% chance u will die. People know people go to this server to get out, people are waiting in debug forest to kill you .....................
