    Spawning in groups

    You'll always know where you spawned by looking at certain land marks and in combination with one of the many maps you can find online. I actually found north today by simply looking up at the stars and finding Ursa Major and then Polaris the North Star. It's really not that hard :) And yes: Not being able to spawn together IS a feature. Being able to do so would break the game mechanics just like being able to simply respawn after death.
