Worth it to carry second primary?

If you have an Alice pack or better, I would advise carrying two different range weapons with you. I currently carry an M4A1 cco for close quarters and an M249 SAW for when I absolutely, positively have to kill every motherducker in the room. Having said that, I would prioritise meds and food stuffs over a 2nd primary if you're short on space. A dead man has no need for fancy weapons. -

Some of the funniest moments I've had involved my death. Like the time I tried to crawl up the NWAF firestation stairs with a broken leg, desperately needing the morphine for my buddy who had just broke his leg closing a door in the barracks. Then falling backwards down the stairs and dying. Hilarity! I also really enjoy the initial set up from a fresh start. That mad run into cherno, trying to grab all you can and get out before you get killed by player or zombie. As for "minigames" I currently try to avoid civilisation entirely. Drinking from lakes, hunting for food, and avoiding expending ammo whenever possible. On day 7 and It's oddly relaxing! -
Funny, I can't remember that last time I was in Elektro or Cherno. but you say that's all we do? Well me and my team mate just flanked a squad of 3 looting a heli. Proned along the underside of the hill and opened up on them with our LMGs. Far more fun than sitting in Elektro right? (And I got NVGs!) It was one of those pretty cool moments you don't really get in other FPS titles, especially CoD. This is a Sandbox, your limitations are created by your imagination. But you say you can do better, sure go for it. If you make a game (which I doubt) and it's any good (which I doubt) I will buy it. Until then , I shall play DayZ.

Have you had the server set up by Vilayer yet? They need to configure it initially for you. If not, contact them, their TS is: ts3.vilayer.com If it has already been set up. Go to the ACP page and log in with the login details provided to you (The link and the login info will have been emailed to you). Once you're good to go; if you really have no idea what the buttons do, get back on that TS and im sure Lee and the guys will give you a quick tutorial! Good luck! -

You can enter any reason you want when you kick someone. Sounds like a great deal of effort to go to just to shoot your buddy though. I would've just thrown a grenade. Besides, you will never be able to prove it either way, so I guess what I'm saying is; Shit happens, suck it up. :) -
Server Logs, What are contained in them?

The logs have improved slightly since the recent patch however as the guy above said, we can't really verify it. After years in CS for online games I am not in the habit of believing reports on face value, nor user supplied "evidence" so the only bans I issue for this is when I am involved in the incident (which happens a lot surprisingly!" Your best bet is to not really rely on server admins providing ingame support, but merely providing the server. We simply lack the tools for a lot of required moderation. Having said that, we can see text chat in all channels, so that is something we can deal with should you provide enough info (player name/time/date) -
The irony is the OP's post probably took longer to write than the time it takes to join another server with the correct version. People really need to stop complaining about this kind of thing and just be grateful there are people out there prepared to spend their hard earned money on servers so people like the OP has somewhere to play.

I've had completely the opposite experience. Zombie vision seems to be hyper sensitive now, agroing from much further out than before. -
Perhaps there was a server restart? This wipes map markings.

Completely depends on your activity. If you're Bean sniping in Chero, you probably wont need to drink so often. Where as if you're running through the wilderness like Bigfoot, you will get rather parched.

Do you have a debug menu? If not you need to update your ARMA files. The only time i've walked around with no agro nor loot was when I also had no debug menu. -

Some of us still run 1.7.1.5 because every patch since then is knackered in some way. When you pay to host a server, you get to decide yourself whether or not you tolerate it. Until then stop being so presumptuous and entitled and consider that we likely have a very good reason to not have updated our servers. -

I like the fact that this game doesn't force a faction choice, I wouldn't like to see it happen in the future. Although some kind of partying system could be handy so you don't accidently RPG your team mates ... -
We can't spawn vehicles or gear. http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=26110 It's possible he locked it to go grind stuff without players around, but that's a quick route to a server blacklisting. Might be best to play some place else.
