I have no idea what is happening, I keep dropping dead! I've been using the server for months, it's where my tents are :) I updated to the latest version this afternoon, logged on, I spawned near my tent, so knowing the patch had fixed the tent saves, I filled the thing with the extra ammo, food, etc. that I'd been carrying around. The last thing I did was put my night vision goggles in the tent, then hit save, however, I changed my mind so took them back out (in case the tent didn't save), saved the tent, walked off to start my day of looting and... droped dead!! i made it about 5 metres. As I died the broken bone symbol flashed up but there was no sound!? I respawned to make the dash back to my stuff! But died instantly again, the same way!? I respawned again, this time I didn't die, I made it back to my tent/body, picked up all my stuff, walked about 10 metres, and I droped dead again! so agian, i respawned but I instantly died again! I respawned again and made it to my stuff, grabbed it all, stuck the NVGs in my tent, saved it, ran to a bush and logged off.. 4 times i died! I survied the 20min run from cherno to my tent, but once I had my all my gear I was probably walking around for about 2mins before i droped dead? A coupe of weeks ago, on another server, I managed to kill a bandit, he had everything! GPS, NGVs, Tool box, entrenching tool, the massive back pack and a ghille. he also had many clips for both his guns, a silenced M4a1 and an AS50. I took everyhing exept the AS50. Could he have duped/hacked in these or something that's causing me to die? Does that happen? Could it be something to do with the new patch? I don't want to die again and would really like to keep the NVGs at least :) any ideas or help? Thanks.

what he said worked for me :D nothing comes on the screen once you've pressed shift & and the minus key (at the same time), i then just type flush and got the 'Reciving' screen n boom, no splits of grey in the sky!

dunno if it'l work but did you try.. Right clicking on the game in the steam libary then at the bottom, Properties>Local FIles>Verify Integrty of Game Cahce

reinstalled a-ok, but almost lost my profile! Luckly I had backed up My Documents folder which is where your profile is stored. There's 2 folders in there called 'Arma 2' & 'ArmA 2 Other Profiles' Replaced those and my profile was back up Thought I'd let you/anyone else know :)

I'm going to be reinstalling windows over the weekend as i bought myself an SSD... are there any Day Z profiles I should back up ? Wouldn't like to lose my character :) cheers

Cheers for the link, It's still not 100% clear to me, it says... so, will i need to find a new tent to move my stuff into.. or if I click save or put soemthing into my or anyones tent, it'l 'reset' the 7 day timer?

As Hendrix said, kill or be killed. i'm taking no risks, been playing for a while now and I learnt you can't trust anyone! I'm currrently on my longest run n I've got a pretty good gun. I do try to avoid all confrontation by hiding if I spot a player and taking my time when entering towns. I've killed a few others but mainly to save my own skin. Never for the sake of it, but... never say never. heading straight inland to the small towns, definatly prolongs your lifespan. Cherno and electro are death traps.
