  1. we have been looking for any vehicles for 2 days now havent seen any, checked 7 spawn points we knew, then thought rocket might have changed the spawn locations, checked most west and south towns, barns, warehouses... and havent even seen or heard anyone have a single one. Seems they have all disappeared cause we had 3 and after restart it would be impossible that people took and hid them all.

    I agree that money is not such a great idea but using some rare bullets or items can work, it wouldnt really be a deathmatch area either not more than airfields or towns, especially if its easier to defend and the buildings wouldnt spawn anything inside so until someone occupied it there would be no reason to go there unless you know someone set up a post. To raid it you would need to have a much stronger force than that which is defending it, along with a good assault/raid tactic which sounds great tbh. So attacking it randomly, for lolz or on your own wouldnt be worth it. Buildings could be placed in few strategic places around the map, maybe in the north so people wouldnt just go there to fight, because its a high risk and a long run. On contrary a well organized raid would bring plenty of profit if succesful. At the trade post you can offer transfusions, medical supplies, bullets, guns, car parts among other things as a trade for other valuable items, that would make it a place of interest for people up north without needing to go to hospitals or finding food and other things they need but cant find, or they want to trade their lets say dmr ammo they have no use for, for some car parts, ammo they need or something else. I completely disagree with the point of having a difficulty organizing it, you wouldnt need many people for it and you could setup your post for few hours a day which isnt a problem either. even carebear mmos requires tens of people, strategy, planing and time to do raids or any other activity so getting at least 3-5 or more people together and setting up a trade post for few hours is not that hard compared to that. I know I already have a group of people to do it with and I am sure they would like something like this. Back when I played wow our guild (and probably many others) used to do "guild meetings" almost daily and plenty of people would show up to practically do nothing but talk, I guess it's a socializing thing that human nature is attracted too, where would it work better than in this game where suspense, constant danger and trust is added to the mix, never mind profit and clan reputation/fame. The idea is far from complete and not ready for installment but thats why I posted it, to discuss and make it possible in the future. If there is something you dont agree with or think wont work, post it so we can find a way or a solution. Edit: wording, grammar and structure.

    My personal thoughts and a message to rocket

    Back in the day when I was playing fallout 2 I thought that it was just the beginning and that gaming would evolve and get better and better, little did I know that for next 10+ years nobody would make a game near as good, now with dayz my wishe came true. I asked my self so many times why there isnt anything even close to that, even went as far as thinking it was some type of conspiracy haha, I mean not like its that hard to create, just give a player freedom in a world thats there on its own and you are the guest there trying to survive and change it and have your own unique story which is completely spontaneous and different every playthroe. Games with "great story lines" scripted and made by one or few people for everyone did not amaze me at all I felt it was just hype/marketing and for stupid masses(forgive my arrogance). After playing dayz and reading rockets posts I just had such a relief because so much of it was what I was thinking and apparently so many many others as well, but had absolutely no voice in gaming. Thank you very much rocket and others who support this. was a bit excited while writing so not very constructive, sorry :)

    Character Motivations

    These ideas are like a bad case of flu or I'd say cancer that is today's gaming philosophy and should be removed as soon as possible, people so used to hello kitty style of gaming(click here, go here, click again, bring it there, get a reward - dog mentality) that when a a game that offers true freedom comes out they can't think of another way to improve except in a way they used to play other games.

    IF this was an actual game...

    -any paying method except buying separate items or bonuses, everyone should be equal once they buy the game or pay the sub. -Community feedback: I have played plenty of games where they have ruined things, good example is wow. Everyone just wants things for themselves and ready to whine on forums day in and day out to get it. Ofc some levelheaded ideas are being posted too. so it depends on devs. -servers: private servers might give advantages to their friends or clans and even hop on other public ones with full gear but if its possible to balance it then I cant think of a reason why not both.

    I guess the problem boils down to zombies being bugged, walking and hitting through walls, server laggs etc. This all leads to some frustrating situations where you get killed even tho you did everything right, but didn't account for bugs or lags, so this knockdown effect becomes that more annoying, but once those bugs get fixed I think it's gonna be alright, anyway this effect should definitely stay in the game imho.

    I think rocket understands that the environment of suspense is impossible with a carebear game with artificial tools to make players live easier and predictable, this is the main element in the game that makes it so emotional, unpredictable and unique in almost every situation It's that element that depends on players personal choice in every situation, it's a human experiment, taking away this freedom and replacing it with some well known carebear elements will ruin the game imho.

    I dont think people want it to be easier, on contrary I think zombies need to be harder but atm their difficulty is mainly due to their buginess and knockdown which are both annoying. People probably prefer getting killed by zombies due to getting overrun, running out of ammo, having slow reaction, bad strategy, miscalculation, surprise/unexpectedness and plain bad luck which is somewhat a combination of everything like some would say "you make your own luck". The things you can improve on, you cant improve on random knockouts. Im not complaining, the mod atm is already better than any game i have played in a long time(no bullshit) so even if it stayed at 1.5.4 I would probably still play it for very very long, until I would have completely nothing to do. But if we can discuss and even suggest something to devs and they might like it why not? I never completely trust my own judgement, especially on things I have no experience making so what I have is just ideas which can or cant be useful. So maybe things suggested wont fit into the existing structure without needing restructuring/rebalancing the core ideas of the game. In that case the idea to add directional attack and blood pressure seem like a logical improvement to current mechanic, they do make sense and can be fun so yeah, either way I think rocket knows what he is doing.     I think its good, its actually pretty amazing how well balanced the mod was released in this aspect. I dont know if most things were carefully thought out or devs just got lucky, but yea I thought about this many times and couldnt come up with a better way.

    One more reason to kill someone, making life in chernarus even harder, sounds good. But it shouldnt get abused like becoming new kid's "tbag" thing but have real repercussions and have right doze of realism if thats possible.

    Even though I like the idea and had a great laugh reading all the posts I have to agree with Qla plus the players will absolutely find a way to abuse this. peeing on dead bodies or other people for example. But if it was there I wouldnt really mind but dont think its needed or important. Also I dont think this mod will need something like this to attract attention, its already a phenomenon and Im very glad I can witness it day by day.

    I against any system that does the work for players. If you want to restrain someone, aim a gun at him and tell him to lay down or whatever then maybe put handcuffs on him if they wanna add that, but really there is no need for this at all.

    Player Revival

    Maybe need to find defibrilator and some battaries for it x charges each battery, should be found in hospitals and can only revive players who died within x amout of minuts. also would give a natural way to have medics in game. Maybe make a medics outfit that you turn into same way bandit works after doing x amount of revives, transfusions, adrenaline or epi pens on others. i think it would be interesting to have a sort of three way between bandits medics and survivor groups. Might be that sometimes it would be better for a bandit to interact with medic instead of killing him for some mutual agreement like you heal me and i dont shoot you or something, which would also add a natural aspect to the game. Defibrillator might need to be equipped as main weapon so approaching bandit can shoot in case medic tries to pull out a gun, but still gives medic a chance, just an idea. Edit: seems bandit mechanic is a bother and might get scrapped. so the medic thing might not be worth it anymore or at least not atm.
  19. no thanks, no babysitting or leader players by the hand, this is not cod. you want to be a medic? get bunch of medical supplies and head out to help people. This way you become medic. A way of getting medics "outfit" the same way bandits work would be a much more acceptable and fitting idea for this type of game. do x number of transfusions or epi pens or get x amout of humanity and you change into medic gear. what im trying to say is please no artificial perks or advantages like do this and get x bonus to aiming, clip size or blood limit nonsense.

    I agree with panther completely. and the point of the game is not to force a player to do anything, if you want to solo go ahead you shouldnt have artificial advantages due to a game mechanic for grouping up. also as people already said you cant always get a group even if you want to, language and time constraints to play among other reasons why people might not be able to get group going. and on its own losing full control of you character for a long period of time is just not a great machins especially when its random and unpredictable especially in a bugy mod with zombies doing all kinds of weird shit. game should be hard and even cruel but not this way, its unfair in a sense that game has power over you thus taking away your "freedom".

    Why did you nerfed the loot percentage ?

    if they add anything like quests or other scripted events to lead people by the hand like ALL OTHER GAMES do i will be first to quit. This mod/game is amazing because the world doesnt give a f about you, no babysitting. You spawn and adapt to the world around you and not other way around. if you want that go play skyrim or other shitty games with no imagination.

    DayZ Update 1.5.1

    this mod has become much more popular than the game it self. will this affect the arma3 in future at all? I wonder what devs think about this in general.
