You should try find a clan. I see loads on this site looking for people. The game becomes a hell of a lot more fun when playing with a group of people, and it cancels out trying to find a friendly ingame. Get a clan, load up TS/vent/mumble, meet up, and go have some fun together. It will instantly make the game fun again. I was the same as you in terms of getting bored but playing with people made me play again. Worth a try at least.

Wow, that looks awesome. Crossbow is my favorite weapon(most of the time) in DayZ even with its flaws(as stated above the sight and ammo slots). Cant wait to try this out in SA. XD

With DayZ being set up as a "you make your own story" game, every zombie film made could be called DayZ the movie. This whole thread doesnt make sense. Read the OP again, as I think you may have skimmed over it as I did. He is trolling the fact that DayZ is kill on site atm. XD

Technically every zombie movie is DayZ the movie. There is no story elements in DayZ. You create your own story. So I dont see how it would work. Edit: When I wrote the original comment I skimmed through. Reread it and realised its a troll. Nevermind. lol. Cool story bro.

I've been playing a few months and have had only one encounter with a hacker, and I didn't even die. lol, I would not let that stop you. If you think you will like it then buy it and have a go. I only bought Arma for DayZ and do not regret it.

Phenom II X4 980 BE @ stock Gigabyte Windforce GTX 670 ASUS M5A97 Mobo 16BG Kingston HyperX Genesis I only upgraded to the 670 about 5 weeks ago from a 560ti. With the 560ti I used to have to look for a good server to have decent fps, though I did use to take a noticable drop when near buildings. Since upgrading to the 670 I have not had any problems with fps(aside from the odd crap server) even near buildings(I do still get a drop in fps but its usually only about 5 now and is not noticable). Same goes for 1.7.2.5, have not had any problems with it yet, fps wise. A friend did get a decrease in fps since the new patch but his system barely runs it anyway so I thought it was just him. lol

Is a singleplayer game with MP being added later. Will be a completely different game/experience. Looks good though.

But I didn't say anything about choosing spawn location, your second point was what I said. Say you have 4 others in your group but they arent all together, you pick one of them and it spawns you in a spawn point closest to them. It's not choosing a spawn point but also letting you group with a friend easier. If there is only 2 people in the group(you and one other) then you just spawn in a random point near them.

I had an idea for this aswell but it was a lot different. basically in the standalone make it so that there are spawn points all over the map and not just on the coast. Then add in a group function. Group with your friends and whenever someone in the group dies, they are allowed to select someones name in the group and they spawn in the spawn point closest to that person. This would allow people to group better without giving an advantage as you can not spawn close to them without dieing, plus your not spawning on them, just one of the map spawn points. IDK, something like that would be cool IMO.

I never said it was, but your testing an alpha mod. You're going to lose you're weapons alot more times due to bugs. It's the joys of alpha. Best thing about DayZ is finding the stuff is fun aswell, so it's not all bad.

The people you killed could have hacked them. You cant get them back anyway. Best just to go out and find new stuff. :)

Did you swim? Some servers still make you lose stuff if you swim. Either way your not getting anything back.
