As a wise man once said, the best defense against walkers is people. More people means more labor, more fighters, more carrying space. At the very least you can handcuff the bambi and make them run through town as a distraction :P

I love the atmosphere except for the kid crying "help!" don't get my wrong first time I heard it was in Vorkuta and I had instant flashbacks to Metro 2033, but after hearing it like 10 times it started to get old, maybe make it much less common.

The RangerZ mod isn't being redistributed, it is for personal use by the members of this server. Its not competing with DayZ Redux, its not harming anyone in its existence. So anyone who is not playing on this server needs to stop sucking Vorthos's dick long enough realize you have no horse in this race, this doesn't concern you, nor does your input here matter. As for Vorthos, thank you, I love that the private hive community has spawned members like you who vastly expand the possibilities of DayZ. I wish you well and look forward to see what else mods like yours bring to the table though. What I'm less greatful for however is the zeal with which you are currently abandoning all that modding represents. Modding is about opening software, and tweaking it to fit your needs and desires. As already mentioned, DayZ is a mod of ARMA 2, DayZredux is a mod of DayZ. You saw the need for new features so you made a mod for it. But now that someone else has done the same with some of your features, its suddenly wrong? RangerZ is a private mod, for a private community. It has some basis in your mod yes, but is it competing with it? No. It simply a group of people who decided to tweak their server so its tailored to there specific tastes. Which is exactly what DayZredux is for DayZ. There is no need for this hostility. Call off your Hammer Legion members, and march on. If you have a specific request for credit, you need just make it. There doesn't need to be a flame war about it. If there is a mis-understanding here then the solution is to not start a pissing contest and a community flame war. Please, my Skype is Captain_Carey. This server has single handedly revived my interest in DayZ, I've been playing Non-stop since I joined. Last night we had our first server wide event in the form of a fight night. Was probably the coolest thing in DayZ I've participated. Afterwards we declared a 20 minute cease fire to let everyone disperse and then we were right back at it. I should probably mention I'm the server's white-list medic, so if you join and have a medical emergency, feel free to call me up! Captain_Carey on Skype.

As cool as it would be to spawn at any of the borders of the maps, I prefer the coast because its a little more densely populated, there would be some shitty spawns up north and to the west.

The hackers are there ruining your experience. Trust me. Ever heard of Navigator? It's a dayz map hack that require no bypass to use, its simply an .exe you run once you start the game. With it one gets a handy birds eye view of every player, vehicle, corpse, and tent in the game. Its been undetected for at least a month now. I assure you on any populated server SOMEONE is running it. Your tents aren't safe, your vehicles aren't safe. It doesn't take much to ruin a game of DayZ, the smart hackers aren't out there causing thunderdomes, no they're out there in the bushes, lieing low but slowly destroying any semblance of a survival game dayZ ever had.

I'm using a M14x and it runs fine, well as fine as ARMA and DayZ can run. As for the laptop build quality, its fine, there's nothing wrong with it, and the warranty on a new one is great. Mine is a little over a year old and none worse for the wear on it. Only problem was my own fault of having a flash drive in it when someone dropped a pile of text books on it, it broke the drive off in the USB, but Dell replaced the MoBo for free. All in all the choice is yours but don't let the naysayers fool you, the Alienware Laptops are a fine piece of kit.

I finally got a chance to drive a UAZ today. I was wondering weather my vehicle health indicators were glitched because the thing sounded like it was going to pop a fan belt just going up a hill on road. I eventually had to take my headset off because the sound was so annoying. I don't think its nearly that loud on the outside, if it was you could hear it coming from a mile away.

I'm 99.9% sure it's wiped by server respawns and player deaths.

I've gotten this twice now. Once out in the wildnerness, and the time in the video below. Is this new to 1.7.2.5? It isn't as annoying as the Corpse Explosion style artifacts from before but it still freaked me out. Especially when it looked like flames.

Other then two dead bodies and a tent on top the fire house I didn't see anything out of the ordinary besides this. So am I just witnessing the fallout of a hack?
