I had the exact same thing happen to me, I was also wearing a ghillie suit. Logged in with my friend, I immediately see "Ichabod has died" in the chat, and then I spawn back in a barren wasteland, with my friend beside me but not really, with nothing. I abort, come back, and it puts me on the coast right outside Elektro, with absolutely nothing, but keeping all my stats.

I'm up for meeting new people. Found my first friendly today after only playing solo, always meeting bandits. Was a lot more fun than playing alone. My steamid is http://steamcommunity.com/id/Griefgrumble. Skype is Genosidoh.

Updated - Merino found me and helped me out, gave me the transfusion I needed, a compass, and a few medical supplies. He got some camo clothes that just spawned in the building I was trapped in.
