Can somone please help me figure out why i can only play DayZ, Arma 2 , Arma 2 CA in wondowed mode ? Its annoying becuase if affects resolution? When i click it to go fulll screen its flashes up black and keeps pushing me back to desktop. My computer specs are intrel i7, 8 gig ram, n vidia geforce gtx 555, i also dont have the file launch settings windowed , and have reinstalled it twice but problem still persists ? please help , thankyou

doesnt work man , it just pushes me straight back to desktop :( very close to giving up , might have to contact steam for my money on games back, my computers plenty good enuff to run them, im just unlucky to have come across this

Thats what iv been doing to play days, but it still trys to open it in fullscreen, which for som reason my apparently good computer is not compatable with, when i did this it just opened up and i see a black screen for a split second and bang, back to desktop with Arma icon still on taskbar, so naturally i click to icon of Arma 2 OA on the taskbar to get backinto the game, Black screen flashes up as if its about to start and before i know it im back at the desktop again ?

sorry man it isnt thier ...... alll i have is arma 2 OA application, nothing saying beta anywere also tryed running it on integrated grapghics and it still pushes me back to desktop :(

sorry man please bear with me, i cant find it, is it in Operation arrow head , one of the folders in thier ? or is this something in just a steam folder? thiers so many cant even fins the Operation arrow head .exe. oh my god how can somthing stupid be a problem, its just full screen wtf is wrong with it? how can none of you know ?? every other problem gets solved straight away, why not this ???

Yes thiers a setting to launch in windowed mode which works fine, but i dont like playing DayZ like this becuase it greatly affects resolution, not to mention i shouldnt really have to cause i bought the game :) However , when i mess around with HERTZ to 75hz, It opens and stays black, i cannot understand this pleas help, being trying to sort this out for 3 days now and no one knows

my system is alienware x51 top specs, single moniter im running with , pretty standard setup, also iv tried reinstalling the games and nothing, not sure what to do really , tryed so many places and no one knows lol This seems to be such a rare problem , cant get help anywere .

No thiers no window in launch options or anything man, even when i try to change it in the game, its just pushes me back to desktop and i cant get in again lol

Does anyone know when the Alpha beta ends ? and we have to until until full release to play again ?

Ok iv downloaded everything and the only problem i now have is that when i click the game to play it from the six suite, arma wont let me play the game in fullscreen only windowed , which i cant play days through , any ideas?

How do i actually install this without it just giving me iLivid and a load of other crap ?

i dont care if the games not stable, i cant even get to that part !!! il pay someone through paypal to help me please Yes my computer meets them 10 fold, i paid loads of money for this computer only 1 month ago from alienware, i dont know what i bought but they said its good i bought arma 2, and the arma 2 OA and when i click it a black screen flashes up and it kicks me back to desktop, the game is still in taskbar , so i click it agin from taskbar , same thing happens. the game just wont play full screen, only windowed which sucks, but i tried playing dayz through windowed mode, and i need CA building blocks, do you know were i get them ? i also need another file which pops up at menu screen Does anyone know why Arma 2 wont play in full screen , thats my first problem !

1, i cant play arma 2 in fullscreen cause it keeps pushing me back to desktop. 2, iv got all files in addons part and i cant play the game, its doesnt make sense, i admit im terrible with computers but its only a game , why do they have to make it so FUCKIN HARD TO PLAY !!! Hi, first of all sorry if this is somthing obvious, im terrible with computer stuff, just like playing the games :) My first problem is with both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA. The problem is when i go to play them (through steam) i click it and all i get is the screen flash up black, then takes me straight back to desktop. I can hear music and the game is on the task bar, but when i go to click it, it just flashes up black for a split second, and diverts me back to desktop. But for some reason it works in windowed mode, which is annoying. My second problem: Arma 2 isnt the game i wish to play, i wanna play dayz. So i downloaded to files and put em in the correct places after following a youtube vid. Then opened the game in windowed mode (no choice otherwise it wont load) and a messege pops up, CA Building Blocks Missing, i have no idea what this is so i clicked continue in a hope that it was nothing, then the menu screen pops up for the game, and it says im missing some FILE, so i click continue in another hope that it will no affect dayz. I go to server list and filter dayz and click to join and it says i either have a bad version or not god enough connection. Just to note it cant be my computer specs as they are top of the range said the man in shop when i bought it 1 month ago. Anyhelp would be great , Cheers guys :)
