Maybe some kind of in-game mechanism to prevent this would be in order -- a la Starcraft-like disconnect-causes-loss-to-ranking in ladder tournaments. -

I'm a huge Day-Z fan and so are my friends, I just want to make the best possible day-z app for iOS :P.
