08 doean't seem to bad at all. It's only been out a few hours mind. So will prob take even longer for most the servers to "catch up" By then a new version will be out :) I fully appreciate the support that BI are showing DayZ by releasing OA patches often. But surely just one a week would be better...then we wouldn't have so many servers running so many different versions. Just my humble opinion mind.

Maybe you were sniped by someone else that heard all the gunfire? Either that or serious de-sync and you actually got hit by one of the 3 guys without it registering instantly? Seems very weird though.

Deer stands and Barns away from the cities are safer for a new player when looking for a weapon.

Look at the axe, use your middle mouse button click to pick the axe up. If you dont have a mouse wheel, look at the axe and when you see a little gun icon in the middle of your screen with 2 little arrows around it....pres "g" Then go into your inventory by pressing "g". Right mouse button on the axe and say "remove from tool belt" This will take the axe from your belt and put it in your hands. Then press "r" to reload the axe...yes i know reloading is weird. But the way and axe works in DayZ is just like a gun...al be it short range! Edit...just noticed your on about axes in the tree stump. No as mentioned...you cant pick thse up. They are just objects there for show! -
They werent "bandits" otherwise it would say bandits killed in the top right...not murders!

Too many locked/passworded servers

This is getting worse everyday to be honest. I can appreciate that alot of the servers are running a different version of the DayZ mod files and OA patch. From what i've read alot of this was to enable the ArmA X users to be able to connect to atleat some servers. But more enforcing of the rules has to be done. I mean...what is the point of having an Alpha if so many people are running old versions. How can you successfully "test" and Alpha if the variation of versions is so big. Just about everyone should be made to run the latest mod files and arrowhead patch, otherwise how can people report bugs properly? -

I'd like to see this too. I'm sure it's been thought of by Rocket and co. Hopefully this will get implemented at somepoint, when they have time :)

I never really use the heatpacks. Mainly because they take up an inventory slot. Used one once or twice, but that's about it. This is just me though, i appreciate that others may love the heatpack/blanket idea.

I've been told there is some clan that give medical assistance. You PM them and arrange to meet on a server, and they come on and help you. Not sure if this is true, no idea who they are if it is. But i've heard several people talking of this now! -

I still feel the zombies could be alot harder! They are a lot better than previous versions, but in a zombie apocalypse...surely the main concern should be zombies? They have went from no threat at all, to a slight inconvenience, to a hindrance. I think tweaking the food & weapons spawns will make it better too. It's hard to find the right balance though. Esp. one that is going to appeal to the masses. I'm sure Rocket & Co. will get there though. -
May well be your graphics card drivers, or your computer simply cannot handle it. What GFX card and processor do you have? Some specs would help!

I agree, sounds like your card may well be over heating! It's obv. not a certainty...but i would def. try taking the side panels of your comp and maybe putting the fan speed of your card to 100% (not letting the comp control it) just to see if it helps! Process of elimination i guess! -
Tips so weapons dont vanish?

I think giving it a few minutes after you collect something before logging out helps! Although i have also had weird things like this happen. i.e. eat some food, and the game remenbers that i used the food up, but it doesnt remember to save the blood boost or the hunger icon going green again. Server desync prob has more to do with it though. :( -

Yes. But female characters cannot wear ghillie suits apparently. But i'm not sure if this has been fixed in 95099 patch yet. You will prob get lots of men pretending to be women Rose! Would put money on it!
