So your conscience has finally caught upto you? One more hero, one less bandit. It will be interesting to see if this starts happening to other bandits. I fear not though. I'm a hero on the public hive, and i like it. But i do have a character on the private hive that is a bandit for when i get sick of doing good deeds. To be honest i can see the attraction in being both nice and nasty. I haven't decided which "path" i will chose for standalone though :)

I can turn on the six oclock news and see far more REAL disturbing images on the TV. I can also go and watch a film with far more graphic violence (saw or hostel anyone??). And i can also go and buy any book that is also far far more graphic. Yet the over reaction to ban these is not as prolific as it is for computer games. This is a computer game, and that is all. Having some pixels on a screen is nothing compared to the real images/media/literature that is also so readily available. The people that want to have this in to glorify killing children are a tiny minority. The same tiny minority as mass murderers and psychopaths that the media are convinced we will all turn into by playing these games. There are far more serious social problems and fucked up things going on in this world, than what computer games people are playing and how graphic they are.

This game is meant to be for a mature audience. No different from an 18 film in my opinion. As such it should be allowed to have "adult/mature" content. It should be a traumatic harrowing experience. This is a zombie apocalypse, and there WOULD be children left alive. As well as children that weren't so lucky and were zombies. I'd love to see children and zombie children. It's not as if all the children in the "world" would magically dissappear. But as mentioned, i'm sure the media would have a field day. And i can just see the headlines now. "Ban this game. It is corrupting the minds of all that play it" Yeah...cos we all know GTA and Battlefield turn totally rational people into murdering gun toting psychopaths! I hope Rocket and Co stick up a middle finger to the media and don't pander to pressure. Bring on the zombie children, if it's too disturbing for you...go and play barbie in adventure land or something.

Yup. This is why "rare" items are not rare anymore. Even if you take the weapon from the tent..on a server restart it will be back in the tent. As that was how the tent was last saved. Even if you destroy the tent...on a restart the tent will be back with all the items in it. :( I have Ghillie, Rangefinders, NVG etc etc etc all earned legit. And i'd LOVE to see a stats reset for everyone when 1.7.3 comes out. They need to make sure the tent/duping bug is 100% fixed. Then completely reset everyone. This is the only way to clear all the duped items out. Then everyone wont have the best stuff in the game. And rare will actually mean something again! :thumbsup:

The AS50 TWS is not legit. It is hacked in. As far as i know, you can't get into trouble for using it though. They will ban the person that hacked/scripted it in. But not someone that just happens to find it in a tent or on a body. Whether you use it or not is upto you.

Sounds like a hacker trolling you. I have NEVER heard of anyone getting a message instantly in game. As far as i know, when your banned it's instant. I may be wrong though. If you can still join servers, i wouldnt worry about it matey. Hope this helps.

No It goes off your CD key and the info is kept on the Hive server. So you can uninstall and reinstall and your character will be where you left it with your inv as it was. Hope this helps!

You can't be globally banned for using hacked in stuff. Either you did something you shouldn't have, or battleye has made a mistake. Are you sure your banned from EVERY server and not just the one you were on? http://www.battleye.com/support.html Go here and email them. No one on this forum can help you if it is indeed a global ban. Only Battleye can sort it out. Hope this helps.

The names will automatically come up in the very bottom left of the screen when someone tallks. As far as i know, every server does this as standard. As long as you are in the correct voice channel that is. Use , & . to change channels and / to start typing or Caps Lock to start talking. I stand corrected!

Your not alone here. Every one of my friends that i play with (myself included) are always very wary of people that dont have a name or people that call themselves 11111111111111 or something similar.

How old are you? I can see your from the UK. But giving people an age range might help your chances of finding people. Sent you a PM anyways.

One of my favs is the M14 aim or a humble M4 CCO. The Mk48 is awesome at PVP. But you sure as hell better move away to a different spot after you've finished firing...like the M107 it's very loud and sure to bring zombies to you!

Just roll it back using DayZ commander, until most of the server providers have caught up to the latest version. Or reinstall a previous versions from here :- http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/

Use DayZ commander if you want to roll back mod versions.

Go to Youtube and search for DayZ survival guides. It will help you a bit in regards to "the basics". You will then atleast know how to do stuff when and if you do team up with people. Hope this helps. Good luck finding people.

Isn't it the speed that the round travels? i.e SD ammo has a lower velocity, and as such...is quieter? I'm no expert, but this is what i always "assumed". Obv. you still need a supressor/silencer to reduce the noise even more.

You can't be globally banned for using hacked in weapons or items from what i know. It's only the person that hacked it in that would be banned. But as mentioned in an above post...your just going to make admins of servers suspicious of you. So if your banned from servers, you will know why. I would just dump it, it's only a skin...purely cosmetic anyways. But this is just me...and doesn't mean you have to dump it. Your choice dude.

This happens when you change skin, i.e civilian to ghillie, or civilian to hero etc. All your stats in the debug should be reshown again after a login/logout.
