hi, i got banned from de 2592 last night whie playing with friends, i was logged out after being kicked for script restriction #20 after trying to eat food on the new 1.7.6 patch. attempted multiple times to log back in and got this error msg you were kicked off the game.(battleye admin ban 25.02.13 12.47 (DAH [publicVariable violation]))) I have messaged an admin from the server last night via this forum [RESOLVED]

one of the best things for me is to reduce scene complexity, i found it on here linkypoo. goto your arma2 folder in my documents, edit your profile in notepad and search for 'SceneComplexity' in that file. when you change this value you reduce the items that are physicly loaded on screen, it greatly increased my fps in trees.

The internet is shit here and its not set to get any better I dont think you quite understand the plight of folks made to suffer such a shit internet connection as you so put it, you would condem them from playing online games because of thier geographic location. just because london has a gazillion trillobyte connection it dont mean the rest of the country shares such liberty, i live in a town of less than 20k pop and towns around me have even less. as you can imagine we are quite low on the pecking order when it comes to internet supply. so 'good enough?' .... i don't think so considering the multiple times i have lost helicopters and passengers due to me 'good enough' connection, but thats not enough for you? you would have me die every time also?

ok so just to make sure im getting the picture every time my client disconnects from the server and the little red gun is flashing you would have me dead? my internet connection is shit, and i mean really shit! and i live in the UK. not to have a dig at other countries but im pretty sure theres people with worse connections than me around the globe. my client regularly dissconects, de syncs, and i see my own name 'loosing connection' in the chat log more than i see 'so and so was killed' so again just to clarify you would have me die in any dissconection involving me and agro'd zombie or other player? that shits just fucking dumb son

was the box full or raided already? cus chances are a heli crash thats not found within the first hours or so of a server restart will have already been found raided and raped for anything nice

if your going to admin a server that proclaims no theft or pvp of anytype then your gonna have alot of work on your hands keeping it open to the public. you might want to think about creating a small community on your server that is whitelisted to join. that said i do hold the opinion that this is dayz, getting F'd in the A is part and parcel of the mod.

ive noticed this recently. my cpu specs are not awesome but ive come to expect around 20-30 fps as running well. tho some area of the taviana map give me horrible screen freeze which is effecting not only my game but my whole computer. other ppl in TS hear my voice getting chopped when i speak during this freeze frame, so its goto be cpu preformance related

to use dayz commander, which in my opinion is far less clunky than 6, just have both games installed and run one time to reg, then edit the arma 2 directory in settings of dayz commander. you download all the modfiles maunally through the install/update tab. they will auto install once downloaded.

i just re read my post and realized im making it sound fairly complex. to use spirited machine simply dl it make sure you have arma 2 free installed and run it one time to regester, do the same for arrowhead, now run the launcher. on the launch options tab you can enter the path of your arma 2 free installation, do the same for OA dl the dayz mod files and put them in a folder called addons which inturn should be in a folder called @dayz this should be placed in your OA installation folder, chances are this will have been done for you if you download the torrent for the mod files. now you have the mod files in the right place, goto the addons tab. you will see dayz in the left pain if the previous step was succesfull. drag it into the groups folder on the right pain, and check adons group and dayz check boxes. the launcher is ready to run on paper, but you might want to grab the lastes beta patch and route those also as most if not all dayz servers use beta. theres a link on the launcher tab to dl it. the exe location is operation Arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe put this in both beta targets and you shoud be good to go. this may sound like a bunch of bulll but when you have used the launcher a few times it becomes easy. i might just be an old hasbean but i like to do things manually.

no, its easy. but like i say if you want to click and forget use commander. if you want further info on using spirited machine launcher then i can help or theres plenty of info pages on the subject, link i think he covers it in his 3rd video in that series

use arma free on one installation, he will have low res textures but at least you will be able to play on both copys ive had alot of trouble getting launcher to work with this set up but dayz comander works with it if you change the path settings, not sure about 6. i use spirited machine launcher and manually enter the files. you can then save a shotrcut will all the mod files you wish to use which in turn can be added to steam so you can use steam overlay (invaluable whilst running long periods)

we have a custom base on a private hive server and I was just trying to reverse a uaz out from a poor parking position, I nudged a little bird we had on the heli pad and boom..... BOOM BOOM BOOM every vehicle we had in the base blew up in a chain reaction including the bus we were using as a rolling door. we have all had plans foiled by the poor vehicle physics but as previously mentioned it should be addressed in the stand alone and is an engine issue that cannot be corrected on a mod level, as frustraiting as it is we have to live with it for now.

top marks for honesty in the tldr, me rikey! ive shot many a sniper, but not very often sat in a bush waiting for a target. the guns are good in all situations bar knife fighting. but ye you gotto be really bored in rl to sit a bush for 3 hours on a game...

so, my main hive char is this old, I know people say dont get attached but I regularly play on privite hive servers to free myself from the fear of loosing this character whilst playing on the main hive :P I play with a wildly different play style when using this char, much more stealth and self preservation when compared to sprinting across open tundra and through towns with wanton abandon on a privite hive! how old is your main hive? do you use privite hives as an escape from the intensity of the main hive? screenshots would be nice...
