one of the best things for me is to reduce scene complexity, i found it on here linkypoo. goto your arma2 folder in my documents, edit your profile in notepad and search for 'SceneComplexity' in that file. when you change this value you reduce the items that are physicly loaded on screen, it greatly increased my fps in trees.

just because london has a gazillion trillobyte connection it dont mean the rest of the country shares such liberty, i live in a town of less than 20k pop and towns around me have even less. as you can imagine we are quite low on the pecking order when it comes to internet supply. so 'good enough?' .... i don't think so considering the multiple times i have lost helicopters and passengers due to me 'good enough' connection, but thats not enough for you? you would have me die every time also?

ok so just to make sure im getting the picture every time my client disconnects from the server and the little red gun is flashing you would have me dead? my internet connection is shit, and i mean really shit! and i live in the UK. not to have a dig at other countries but im pretty sure theres people with worse connections than me around the globe. my client regularly dissconects, de syncs, and i see my own name 'loosing connection' in the chat log more than i see 'so and so was killed' so again just to clarify you would have me die in any dissconection involving me and agro'd zombie or other player? that shits just fucking dumb son

was the box full or raided already? cus chances are a heli crash thats not found within the first hours or so of a server restart will have already been found raided and raped for anything nice

if your going to admin a server that proclaims no theft or pvp of anytype then your gonna have alot of work on your hands keeping it open to the public. you might want to think about creating a small community on your server that is whitelisted to join. that said i do hold the opinion that this is dayz, getting F'd in the A is part and parcel of the mod.

ive noticed this recently. my cpu specs are not awesome but ive come to expect around 20-30 fps as running well. tho some area of the taviana map give me horrible screen freeze which is effecting not only my game but my whole computer. other ppl in TS hear my voice getting chopped when i speak during this freeze frame, so its goto be cpu preformance related

to use dayz commander, which in my opinion is far less clunky than 6, just have both games installed and run one time to reg, then edit the arma 2 directory in settings of dayz commander. you download all the modfiles maunally through the install/update tab. they will auto install once downloaded.
