I think it has something with the loot spawn mechanics. I believe I read somewhere that if loot is old, it despawns and there is a period of time before fresh loot will spawn. So say someone was there 30 mins before you got there, being the next person there, the loot despawns and then it won't respawn for a period of time. Look through the Rocket said sticky and find the loot spawn thread.

I don't find them useless at all. I won't go to stary or the airfields just because they are just pvp hot spots. Sure I don't need the food or pop that can be found in the villages but I have no issue at all eating and drinking anything and everything I find in them. I don't see people at every village I have been to but I have been killed more at all the towns up north than I have been kill in cherno, elektro or any of the other costal towns that are near spawns.

Yes, that's exactly what I do. Zombies are far too easy to lose. I sprint almost everywhere anymore, with no issues with zombies at all

Why does everyone keep saying that regular servers have nametags? I play on plenty of regular servers and none of the ones I play on have nametags. A few of them don't have crosshairs and a couple only have first person. At least try to educate yourselves as to how things really are. They are settings that are enabled by the people who set up the server.

I have yet to not find some type of gun in elektro or cherno. When I first started playing it took me a couple of days to find a gun. I then went straight for Barns and Deer stands for a few days. I finally got to the point where I just started heading right into cherno and elektro. As you get more comfortable with avoiding or losing the infected make sure you hit everything in elektro/cherno. The key spots are supermarket, office building, church, pubs and those buildings with a hallway running down the middle with a big room on each side. Make sure you go upstairs in the pub. The apartments in cherno are usually decent places to find something. There is always the fire stations, but you need to be careful of snipers when heading into them.

Nope, nothing has changed. My gaming schedule revolves around my work schedule. If I don't go to work or am continually late I will lose my job. No job means no money. No money means I cannot pay my bills. If I can't pay my bills I end up homeless. Homeless means no way to play games at all.

Crouch. Then if I'm somewhere I don't know by sight, look it up on the online map. If close enough to got cherno or elektro, if not then head for the closest buildings and start gathering until I get someplace with a supermarket.

If a sniper can hit you while you are running, the only reason you aren't dead is because you aren't a worthwhile target for them. The worst thing you can do with a sniper in the area is to stop or move slowly anywhere they have LOS on you.

I believe I read a post somewhere on here that states any death withing 2 minutes of that life doesn't count towards the life expectancy.

I don't know if this would be possible or not but I have a different idea about the entire timer idea. If you fire your weapon or take damage within the last minute or three(I prefer 3 but 1 is probably better) you cannot log out. If you disconnect within 60 seconds of the last time you attack or take damage, your character stays on the server for 60 seconds. This would still cause issues for people with bad connection but not near as much as if there was always a timer. I would assume that the issue would be with detecting and keeping track of every shot fired. I can't imagine that it would be very resource friendly and placing it client side would just lead to cheats being created to bypass it.

@snort The only person who hasn't shot me on sight is the player I asked to when I was in elektro grocery with a broken leg from a door glitch there. All they did was back up so I had room to crawl past them. Of course someone else shot me while I was looking for a can to break the hospital window since shooting it with the pistol I found in the store didn't work.

Oh and why wouldn't I just abort? Because only gutless pussies alt-f4 or abort or server hop for a better position. If I'm beat in combat that is my fault and I'm man enough to die. I don't care what eq I lose, death is part of the game.

Broken legs and somebody trying to rob me? I would rather just die and start over. I crawled for 3 hours one night only to get shot within sight of the hospital. I will never do that again. Complete waste of time. If somebody is trying to rob me and breaks my legs, I would rather they kill me. If they won't, I will do it myself.

No gun? Try and run, no question. Legs are broken? ESC and hit respawn. It's not even really a choice. There really isn't and deterrent to getting dead other than having to re-gear, and that's not hard km I just did it in less than 20 mins before work in electro. I even found my first toolbox. That actually puts my 1 piece of gear ahead of what I had when I died.

I didn't read the entire post, at work, but I think I got the basic idea. I don't alt-F4 and I never wil, but if someone came up to me and held me at gun point, I would tell them to go fuck themselves and either shoot them or take off running yelling serpentine!!! serpentine!!! There is no reason not to. No matter what you are going to have to start with nothing. At least if you're dead you'll be closer to locations with loot. It's much easier to just kill people and loot their corpse.

I have the same gpu and I have an i5 2500k and it runs fine. You should have no problems.

This^^ I have nothing agains the odd pvp interactions but if all I wanted to do was run around shooting other people I would go play a FPS game and not a Survival game.

Even before the update I ran through cherno. With the ease of losing zombies by going through buildings and around multiple corners I found it much easier and safer to just run everywhere in there. It also makes it a bit harder for snipers to get you if you are constantly running and weaving in and out of buildings. Sure I have still pulled aggro from ridiculous distances in some villages but until zombies can run inside of buildings it is still easy to lose aggro.

no, your character is tied to the key for your game. the profile is just a name applied to that key at that time.

To be entertained for an hour or two everyday after work before I go to bed. Nothing more, nothing less. Considering this is alpha and I assume far from finished, I await whatever changes Rocket decides to make to the game. If it stops entertaining me, I will stop playing and play one of the many other games I have.
