Rocket cannot do anything about the hacking - it's the core engine of Arma 2 that's the "problem" - I use that word very tenuously. Arma 2's target playerbase was meant for serious players who want to simulate real life combat as possible and were given tools given to script/modify/create things in the game (specifically custom missions). It was not geared towards griefers which the Youtube community ultimately attracted because of the major publicity. The best thing that can happen for now (that is realistic) is for servers to get better admin tools.

There is no long term with being friendly with a survivor you just met. Give it a few hours until one of you guys have to log off and bam separate ways. Long term only comes from IRL friend/Clan gaming. Are you seriously going to log off together with someone you just met, and limit your playing to only when you're both on? Tried and true, STEALING is always easier than SHARING. There are many strategies that have been employed in human interaction between the ages, but my history professor told us of one that is prevalent among all: Rape, Pillage, and Burn. Making the game more difficult will make this much more immersive and I like that, but reducing the amount of PvP would be insignificant. Still support, for most of the changes. -

Hey guys, I've been having some FPS issues lately I can't really tell when it started but because I've moved out of the cities and more into the forests the FPS lag I've been having is a lot more noticeable. I start the game and I get average 50+ FPS average just fine, but I notice that the more time I spend in-game my FPS slowly but surely drops to sub 30. I've messed around with the graphical settings, even everything on minimum but it still happens! Anyone experienced this? Or any possible fixes to my problem? Thanks! My Specs: - AMD Phenom II X4 965 - 2x GTX 460's SLI - 8GB DDR3

I would like to hear people's experiences with 12 gauge slugs in PvP, because so far my experiences are terrible! :( Yesterday, ambushed two dudes at Balota leaving the main road, clipped 2 rounds into the first guy @ 180-ish meters and he goes prone (I assume I broke bones) . His partner advances up, I shoot a cleeeeean shot at 50m he tanks it and flanks my tree to kill me. I didn't have really good gear on me, and it was my first time dying in a while that wasn't from suicide because of spawning on the debug plains so I wasn't too angsty. But just now, I got 2 clean shots at some dude on the hospital on top of Cherno, around 120m-ish distance and my partner also got an M1911 shot on him, but he doesn't die and is able to Alt-F4 out... At this point, I'm thinking it's just me, but I'd like to hear other people's experiences with 12g slugs before I ditch this M10. :huh:

I haven't seen a thread on this topic (one was about the ammo) so I thought I'd make one for your guys' thoughts! Personally I love the revolver; people claim that the M1911 is only slightly less accurate than the Revolver at the pistol-inept 50~100m range but in MY experience I found the Revolver to be far more accurate IMHO. I can tell the Revolver is more noisier than the M1911 (*the wiki says both guns have 'Moderate' noise levels, but I think the Revolver should have 'High' noise), but that's fine for me because I only use my Revolver for clearing out Deer Stands, PvP close range, and getting out of sticky situations where IDGAF about detection. Plus, ammo for BOTH guns is abundant! Win-win for both guns! :P .01 for your thoughts! :D

Just had a fire fight (hands still shaking), shot 2 rounds of 12 gauge slug at 184m both chest hits and the guy doesn't die, shot his partner with same ammo at less than 50m he shakes it off and finishes me off. Wai :( I more mystified at why the 2 slug rounds didn't kill...

Nope, you're severely let down by your integrated graphics card sorry mate :/ If you can get a new graphics card, then sure! Your other system specs are fine though. -
Meh.. I haven't really found that -1 bullet to be a bigger disadvantage, but you reminded me of something else too- the fire rate. The revolver lags behind the M1911 in fire rate but I find this a blessing in disguise on Arma 2. I'm sure were all aware of that moment when a zombie is close to us - we shoot it - and then "DID I HIT IT?!" which we can't tell in an instant because the zombie might still run/twitch before the shot is registered and the zombie dies cold. *(Don't say it's my ping/servers, I found this commonplace everywhere on <75ms servers). My first reaction (and some of my buddies) when I don't see the zombie drop dead is to clip more rounds into it, is to shoot again, and maybe again - wasting precious ammo in the wild. The revolver, you have something physically there to prevent you from doing that and letting you see if the shot registered or not which I think is a godsend.

Getting absurd now... This 5th time spawning in the god forsaken plains really sent me over the edge because our group of buddies finally met together after navigating for hours (we didn't all have maps) and I log off for a quick snack, log back in and bam I'm in the fucking forsaken plains. I PRAY that this update coming up fixes it, although my hopes are very slim because no one even knows what causes it. (I've looked at MANY, MANY people on the internet complaining about it.)

As if this is a sick joke, it just happened again. :/ Signing out, going to work sleepy and unaccomplished. Oh welp Just checked around on these forums, seems there's been an influx today/yesterday particularly... And also I'm a day late in posting this, because apparently yesterday devs were resetting locations and inventories(?)... I ran to a Cherno roof, and logged out. I'm again, praying that I don't spawn in those plains because if I do, I'm going to BEG an admin/dev to reset me.
