I've got the same problem.. any help out there. The exe is there, i deleted it and verified. Still no joy. OP did you fix it?

I find the more people on the server the less likely I'll bump into someone and visa versa.. go figure. I do prefer the tension of knowing the server has lots of players on it. I find the vast majority friendly anyway. :)

Wayyyyy too much food. Tins everywhere. But I'm not having much luck with ammo. And everything being pristine really does not help. I do like a challenge, but right now the ONLY challenge is avoiding getting killed by other players. But still 0.5 is much more enjoyable than 0.49 IMO.

So the lack of 1st person servers is intentional, right? Does anyone know the reason for this?

What part of the world are you thinking of? I can't think of a part of the world were cannibalism is acceptable. But its only a game. I assume it has a 16 or 18 rating on it. Its so much easier to find other sources of food than it is to kill, skin and cook someone. Obviously its gonna happen.. sounds kinda creepy and therefore perfect for this game! :)

Hi, With private shards and 0.5 in stable I'm looking to find a home in Dayz. Any good (popular) private shard servers that are 1st person based in the UK or northern Europe? Ideally with minimal rules. The Elysium server looks good, but as much as I dislike KOS their rules seem too black & white. Thanks for any info.

Can anyone comment upon some odd happenings to me in exp earlier. I suddenly 'lost control' of my player. He started spinning around in circles and moving erratically without input from myself. Happened for about 20 seconds before i logged off concerned it was a hacker and something more concerning would happen next. Anyone experienced this before?

From my understanding, seeing rabbits & snaring rabbits are not connected. i think rabbits simply appear in the snare, you don't actually catch one that is running about. The odds for that would be incredibly small. I believe you can set a snare on grassland anywhere, not just where you see rabbits. This is my understanding from reading and seeing reports, not 1st hand and hence could be wrong.

I was starving, near death, found a can of beans.. was delighted, opened it with the only tool i had, a badly damaged sledge hammer, I spilt 98% leaving me 2% to live on! :) It was a good touch of reality.

The vast majority of people I meet are friendly. But i only "meet" people who seem friendly, as i normally am the one spotting others, not being spotted myself. Haven't been KoS in months.

Server restarts are driving me a bit nuts! Would love to see a different time of day! 9:00 to 9:25 seems to be the only time to play! Would love to see a few experimental servers starting at different times, afternoon and evening/dusk. Dawn & dusk are the beautiful to play at..

Has everyone been getting character wipes with every small experimental update recently? It doesn't really bother me, just curious. I think every patch for the last month or two has wiped my character, even the small incremental ones. Is this the case for everyone? Cheers for any info.

err good to see you played the game Doc. Not sure why i read this post... but using the beach for 'cover' made me smile. No wonder you don't do so good at this game.

Many new things I'm unsure what to do with.. except the sledge hammer. Found that pretty useful! :P

Range finder is not working correctly. You can look through it, but it has no zoom nor range finding ability. i.e. useless. Sledge hammer is invisible, but in game. I found one, it had no impact noise, was invisible in every sense.. in inventory, in hands, on ground. I didn't test it against a zed.. assumed it wouldn't work. I found a cop car, but think it was just a static one. Police uniform in it otherwise uninteresting. Defiantly not ready for stable, unless they have sorted out the crashing server issue. Apart from the serve issue it seems a good build.

Suppose anything is possible. But i was always very close to the barn and never saw or heard them out. It was the shed/barn with double door either end and the stairs and walkway inside with small room at one end. They seem to me to despawn.. but maybe they got out and ran away from me without me noticing.. hmmm.. But maybe they killed themselves and despawned.

I noticed something weird. Wonder if anyone can give some insight to: I agroed 3 zeds... so i decided to trap them in a barn. When i ran into the barn with the 3 on my tail I noticed a new fire axe in the barn, I didn't have time to pick it. I trapped the 3 zeds in the barn. I then looted a couple of buildings close to the barn, and then decided the fireaxe was to good to pass on. So i wet back tot he barn, about 5 minutes after trapping the zeds. I opened the barn with my shotgun raised but to my surprise the barn was empty of zeds, with no zeds around either... they hadn't got out but had de-spawned. Anyone else noticed this? Seems a little silly and odd... bug or feature?

Maybe twitter is the place to get their attention and see if someone can resart them with remote access or a simple phone call to the data centre. All servers have 24/7 support. I'm a twitter nub..not sure who to russel up!

I suspect all the test servers are official Bohemia/Dayz servers. There is likely only one or two in the office who have access and they are all enjoying a beer!
