Whilst I agree with almost every point in this thread I seem to be either doing it right or I'm very lucky as 90% of my interactions are friendly. If I interact with some it always ends well, it's only the rare time i get spiped or spook someone where it's ends bad.

Ok... i understand. But marginalised does not mean the same as shrunk. I think that is where we differ. You could reduce the wilderness and at the same time make it more important. I think this is just a misunderstanding of the word marginalise. I too like to live in the wilderness... but what i don't like is the feeling that i'm alone, I want people moving through the wilderness..making it far more dangerous. -
Servers restarting far too often.. sometimes 2-3 times in an hour ?

I think you mis understood my point. They are not intended restarts, so effectively you are complaining about a bug, which is fruitless. Report it. So i'll pass your captain fucking obvious facepalm back at you. -

I'd like to 1st state I'm generally against military anything in this game. However. There is tons of wilderness on Chernarus. It is certainly not insignificant or peripheral, as you appear to be saying. People having a reason to pass through wilderness areas is a good thing, it actually means the wilderness is used more. Making these locations more interesting. The days when the only time you would get contact was on the coast or military bases was bad.. adding this base does not shrink the wilderness areas it simply makes them used, that is not the same. there is no point having wilderness with no one in it. Also for a lot of us military bases have nothing we want. Who needs a M4 or special camo when you can find just as effective weapons and camo in barns and such like. I'd prefer an axe and a mosin any day. I see military bases as magnets for a certain player type.. and that's a good thing, players just sprinting from military base to base are simply playing a different game to me. -

I was playing on GB 1-269 1st person persistence. But persistence is knackered anyway.

These are server crashes not intended restarts. -
Its doesn't really work. Server crash seems to reset the gear, and servers seem to crash a lot. So I'd consider it to be non functioning.

Persistent gear, what is the current state as far as we know? Not been playing the last month or two, I know there is some persistent gear but what form does it take? Can anyone explain how things are presently with persistent loot? (Talking Experimental Build here) Thanks.

I'd hoped the smiley face with tongue out would have signified i was not being serious. In my opinion in a sandbox like this there is no right or wrong way to play. I do however find it a little mean spirited that people hide high value items just so others cant have it, I understand why, but i'm an old hippy that prefers to share the goodies! :) -

I fired up Dayz yesterday for the 1st time in a few weeks and ran into a game stopping issue. It was nearly impossible to keep a weapon in my hand. It went like this: SpawnUse hotbar/toolbar to shoulder weapon. - nothing happens.Press Tab drag primary to hands. - nothing happensTry again.Try again - its works.Move, weapon removed from hands.Press Tab drag primary to hands. - nothing happensTry again.Try again - its works.Move, weapon removed from hands.Try a pistolPistol in handMove, pistol removed from handsTry a pistolPistol in handMove, pistol removed from handsTry a pistolPistol in handMove, pistol removed from handsQuit.. I'm sure this is related to lag.. but i had no dsync shown, good fps. I spent over 5 minutes trying to simply keep a weapon in my hands. If i'd run into another player or zombie i'd be screwed. Anyone else had this issue? I was on an official UK hardcore server with 30 other players.

There are NO zombies in experimental. (yesterday at least). Loot spawn issues seem to have been fixed..

I wish the team would sort out there flow of info. Snippets of info here, twitter, reddit, steam & tumblr... all jumbled up. New change log / patch info added to old patch threads etc etc Its fucking tedious if you want to check what's going on and if its worth testing the present build or not. -

I agree. The idea of 'predators' is great. However it should be a bit random.. i.e some areas are safe some are not.. you are never quite sure.

The .22 looks & sounds very sweet. The other pistols, FNX45, M1911 & the CZ75 all seem very similar and of little interest to me. -
