I'm happy with the present 'zoom' in experimental. Don't see the problem :p
-
The new dynamic reticle looks nice but is still inaccurate for hipfire :(

^^ This. OP your two 'problems' are pretty comical and I can't reply better than above. -
I think a full wipe would be good. All persistence; players, tents etc.. wipe the lot.

can someone explain scenecomplexity/object detail relationship?
-MadTommy replied to anarky321's topic in General Discussion
'normally'... however this is based on Arma.. that has always had a lot of the 'graphics' CPU bound. Who knows if this will be the case with Dayz full release. -
.....there was a time when the difference between 'hardcore' & 'normal' was going to be more than just camera view. I hope this will be the case one day. We can have servers for folk who want to gear up in short period and go PvP deathmatch and another set of servers that challenges players to survive against the environment & players alike. One can only dream. (in this latest patch I was stuffed & healthy within literally 100 yards of my spawn... hardly a challenge.)

Game is boring again. I'll try again in 0.56 or experimental. Endless loot and all the guns that make the game dull.
-
Oh the irony... I have a pot and just about nothing else! What do I need to make a tripod? Sticks & rope? Or something else?

I consider myself a casual Dayz gamer and I play under the exact same rules. Seems like 101 of Dayz to me. Beauty of Dayz is the number of different ways you can play it.

Oh well bye, shows your level of ignorance nicely. Maybe 10 minutes ago you've forgotten your advice was he reduce his settings.. it must be because its such a good CPU. :) -

You are entitled to your opinion. But if you think this CPU @ 2.8 Ghz out performs one at 4.5Ghz then I believe you are the foolish one. The K at the end simply means it is unlocked and can therefore be overclocked, so yes the K is important. Real life examples are more relevant than benchmarks. -

Excellent for email, internet & word processing... not good for running dayz/arma. -

yeah.. upgrade or overclock your cpu. 2.8 is slow, and this engine needs a lot cpu power. FPS is a combo of cpu & gfx card. -
I've got the same problem.. any help out there. The exe is there, i deleted it and verified. Still no joy. OP did you fix it?

I'm old and I suck at it so I play on empty servers.
-MadTommy replied to Butifnot's topic in General Discussion
I find the more people on the server the less likely I'll bump into someone and visa versa.. go figure. I do prefer the tension of knowing the server has lots of players on it. I find the vast majority friendly anyway. :) -
Wayyyyy too much food. Tins everywhere. But I'm not having much luck with ammo. And everything being pristine really does not help. I do like a challenge, but right now the ONLY challenge is avoiding getting killed by other players. But still 0.5 is much more enjoyable than 0.49 IMO.

Looking for: private shard, 1st person, EU based server to call home.
-MadTommy posted a topic in General Discussion
Hi, With private shards and 0.5 in stable I'm looking to find a home in Dayz. Any good (popular) private shard servers that are 1st person based in the UK or northern Europe? Ideally with minimal rules. The Elysium server looks good, but as much as I dislike KOS their rules seem too black & white. Thanks for any info. -

Ok thanks, clearly i need to look at the server browser more closely. Eh? What is this in reference to? -
Why do the majority of players i encounter suck?
-MadTommy replied to drjuanitor's topic in General Discussion
The vast majority of people I meet are friendly. But i only "meet" people who seem friendly, as i normally am the one spotting others, not being spotted myself. Haven't been KoS in months. -
I haven't. Not that I give a shit about others doing so.

DAYZ Survival Times - How long do you think a fresh spawn should be able to live before dying of each condition?
-MadTommy replied to roninhg's topic in General Discussion
Sprinting or jogging? -
I think you are confusing having it enable and having it working. Might be a mute point, but i believe it is enabled BUT when servers crash it breaks the persistence. As far as i can tell persistence is simply broken by server crashing. Hence there is no persistence.
