Why advise people to turn AA off? This should only be done if you suffer low fps. That is not advise on how to 'properly' setup your graphics. Interface res & 3D res should ideally be set to your default resolution.. and AA should be set as high as your gfx card can handle. Not turned off. Also advising people to turn off Vsync without any reason is also incorrect. Vsync helps a lot of people who suffer from wildly fluctuating fps. If you have low fps turning it off will not help in any way and if you have high fps it will likely be advisable to turn it on to avoid 'tearing'. I'd advise leaving it on for the vast majority.

Problem is its great for your enemies with NVGs too! I have one plus my trusted M14... prefer the M14.. but the thermal scope is great. I did find myself shooting at a dead sniper for a few minutes at a range of about 900m! doh!

What distance have you been from the people you have been trying to communicate with?

The truth is the scripts that people use to cheat are also the similar to the scripts that make Arma such an epic engine for gaming and mods. Its a great sandbox engine.. great for hacking and modding alike.

RamDisk only help loading textures faster... and they do work well.. but with 4 GB Ram that is really not a option for you.

Is that a laptop? Doesn't look like a gaming graphics card and the cou is weak.. Does not look good enough for medium. Try everything on low or off.

You need to list all your settings in order for peeps to be able to help. And your complete PC specs.

I am alos stuck int he debug wilderness.. is there any fix? Had a 'lost session'.. now i'm stuck.. 7 day old character with lovely kit :(

I've been using a loot map... i generally have it on my laptop beside me. It certainly helps find the loot you need when you are inexperienced. Now i generally know what kind of loot spawns in what kind of building I'm beginning to think it might be somewhat destroying the designed game experience. I find myself running from loot spot to loot spot... without having to really engage my brain.. i'm thinking this is degrading the challenge of the game. What do you think... is it more fun using a loot map or not? I'm not asking whether it is right or not, but which do you think is more fun.

Ok i'm a solo player, enjoying the game greatly. My character is 6 days old.. I have all the gear needed I've been finding good heli sites up north... and have had my hands on all the top weapons. FN FAL ANPV S4, Bizon SD , M249, AS50, etc etc. Have NVGs. Presently i'm armed with the elusive L85A2 AWS and a M14. I don't go to the NW Airfiled.. as a solo player it is pretty much suicide with no rewards. So.. I'm not quite sure what to do now. Since finding the L85A2 AWS i feel my 'find loot & survive' stage of the game has finished. I could continue hunting up north.. but that will get boring quick. If i try and help new players i'm gonna get shot in the back for sure.. my gear would be a wet dream for most new characters. But this is still tempting to try. I might head south and try and be the good Samaritan. Or i might attempt to become a bandit hunter. But this has significant problems. How do i ID a bandit.. i bet i look like a bandit to anyone else.. all kitted up. I have 4 murders to my name... none of which were cold blooded.. most were simply done in fear. Or do i just become a bandit! :o What would you do?

Don't hold your breath. Hacking has been an issue in Arma for years.. and every other multiplayer game for that matter. Its just something to live with and not work getting mad over.

Cooky1809 if you don't understand why you are getting abuse there is little hope for you.

How do you know? The only person who will know you are a bandit is the person who kills you and get a bandit kill.
