I started playing Dayz again after having been away from it for a few months and I have a couple of questions. Is there any way to check my humanity and what is the fastest way to get it up? I want to get rid of the stupid bandit skin. :( Do tents and vehicles save properly now? Last time a played tents either duped everything or they didn't save at all and vehicles would save with no fuel. How's the hackers? They were running rampant a few months ago.

Dayz uses 22 internet per hour. Seriously though, data cap sucks. :(

I was trying to fix a van near the factory, at the gas station on the coast. I had everything I needed axcept the engine. When I came back with an engine I saw someone at the van and it looked like all the tires were fixed. I wanted the van but I didn't want to kill the guy. He only had a hatchet anyway. So I shot him once with my enfield and he ran off. I checked the van and it was fully repaired, except for the right rear wheel and it had almost no fuel. I had a tire so I went to fix it. However, I accidentally fixed the wrong tire. Cursing myself I set of to the factory to get a new one, hoping one was there. As I was on my way I noticed a survivor with a winchester. Not wanting to kill him I lay down in the grass behind a bush. I knew he hadn't seen me but he was walking straight toward my position. Not wanting to risk losing the van I got up and shot him in cold blood. I went over to his corpse to see if he had some food as I had very little of it. Then ouf of nowhere came the survivor with the hatchet I winged earlier. It was obvious he wanted to kill me. I noticed him just in time so I sprinted away with him on my tail. The fire rate on the enfield is awful and he was zigzagging all over the place so we were running like this for some time. Then I managed to finally shot him and I hit him in the legs. I heard the satisfying crack of bones breaking and walked over to him and finished him off. I checked his gear and to my suprise he had a tire. I went back to the van, fixed it, fueled it up and drove off. So the guy with the hatchet could have just fixed the van and drove off but he wanted revenge and it got him killed. I felt bad for killing them, especially the guy with the winchester. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Since the patch we had vehicles on two different servers, choppers included and they all dissapeared. All of them were stored at different places not near each other.

The disappearing and reappearing on restarts sounds plausible though. I'll look into it. Thanks!

It seems very unlikely to me that 2 choppers, 5 cars and 2 boats on two different servers which were all stored away from each other all got found at the same time.

We were aware of the fuel bug. I didn't say we drove anywhere without jerry cans and I cannot even comprehend how you managed to understand that out of my first post. We put various vehicles at different places on different servers and over the course of two days they all dissapeared. First one server and a day later the next one.

So we were unlucky or are there just so many cheaters/hackers?

Why do you reset your server on seemingly random times with nothing but a 30 second warning? It's very annoying. Also, resetting your server because we blew up your car is quite lame.

Never mind, server got hit by Russians. In other words, cheaters/hackers.

Fuel seems to be bugged. We have a few fully repaired vehicles and they are all out of fuel after every server restart.

Meeting a random another survivor always gets my heart racing. A week ago I was so bored with the game that I decided to do something I never did before; sniping around Elektro. I shot 4 survivors and 1 bandit and it was not fun or exiting at all. I dropped the sniperrifle on a zombie corpse and hid it. Sniping 'for teh lulz' is not my thing. I wish I could take those kills back though, except for the bandit kill.

At it's current state it's not worth it. Tents and vehicles don't save, hackers run rampant and there's a lot of graphical bugs. Oh yeah, and the gear duping thing sucks too.

So annoying you can't save them though. We always log out on the island now with all the parts to fix it but refueling takes such a goddamn long time. It's fun to fly for sure, but it makes the map a whole lot smaller.

You're talking about a heli crash site. OP is talking about the fixable helicopter that only spawns on the island.
