Blood Regeneration should only work at a certain point. Example: You can only regenerate blood if you are, at the very least, 6000. If you are below 6000, you will need to eat or use a blood bag. Blood Regeneration gradually speeds up for every 2000 blood regained. IRL, a typical human cannot regenerate blood when they've lost a certain amount. At that point, a blood donor is required; (e.g. below 6000).

'Tis a decent laptop; although, hardware is quite old. You can play at max screen resolution, but turn off Anti-Aliasing and disable Post-Processing entirely. You're good to go; 30+ fps at all times.

I always pretend I am friendly to other survivors. Most of the time, I manage to get a conversation before he/she kills me. My friendly demeanor is what makes others not want to kill me on sight. And then, after playing along for a few minutes, I shoot them in the back and take their stuff. SO FUN! LOVE IT!

Are you fucking stupid? Vsync caps your frame rate according to your monitor's refresh rate (assuming it's 60hz). Disabling allows you to go past your monitor's refresh rate. Also, setting video memory to Default forces your game to use the bare minimum of memory. Setting it to the highest value allows the game to use more. You are the epitome of down right, stupidity. The rhyme was intentional.

Set Video Memory to Very High and disable Vsync. That should raise your FPS a bit.

I don't know. I have 2xGTX 690's in QUAD SLi and an i7 3930K CPU. Jokes. I wish. I have an i7 2600K @ 4.2Ghz and an Asus GTX 670 DCU2 I'm guessing I get around 40-60 fps. But I'm completey maxed out, as much as the game would allow. People getting 60+ fps with hardware that is INFERIOR to mine, your settings are very low.

Umm... ok. I can play how ever the hell I want. I payed money for it. Deal with it. To each his own.

I personally do not Alt + F4, but I do abort after a long battle if I am losing and I know I am going to lose. I always participate in a prolonged battle if it gets to that point; however, If I feel that I do not want to lose my gear, I will abort and avoid death. I think admitting defeat and realizing I lost and cannot win, is enough. The self-pity and self disappoint is the consequence I get. But there are times where I would go all out and try to kill the other survivor, disregarding death and the gear I have. Usually if I just have an Alice pack and Lee-Enfield, I don't care to die. It really just depends on very specific and personal circumstances, that I would "Abort", as I NEVER Alt + F4. Bottom line; I do fight when I encounter another survivor for as long as I can, until the brink of death.

What's wrong with [Regular]? DayZ has many different levels of play for different types of people. You obviously do not know how to develop a game or how to build a viable and effective business model around a video game that will create SALES. There would NOT be this many Unique players if there was only the most difficult level of play.

I'm all for grouping with strangers and making friends. I have always found that aspect of the game is severely lacking, but when it comes to fruition, it's quite the grand experience. However, NOBODY does this, therefore, I have become a Bandit and always will be until people change their mentality of the game. For crying out loud, I got shot while running on the coast line. Just before I died I saw him crouching behind a brush as I ran by. What are people trying to gain? I suppose the thrill of the kill is enough for them. What we need in this game is, "FACTIONS". Perhaps a little to sophisticated for a game like this, and to be honest, the Mod itself (in terms of concept) is not complex at all. It's simply a survival zombie simulator. We've seen it and played it before. Eventually, the developers of DayZ need to consider reinforcing the foundation of what DayZ was supposedly built upon, "Zombie Survival". Not "PvP Human Survival", which is what this Mod has become.

I play maxed out (but with higher than 1080p on the 3D resolution). And I spotted a survivor from 100+ meters just a few minutes ago. I followed him into a barn and killed him too... :)

My mentality of the game changed back when I tried to be friendly to EVERYONE I met. I NEVER shot on sight. I never wanted to kill or tried. I always wanted to make friends and have a large group going. But that all changed when people KILLLED ME on sight, over and over again, until a switch flipped inside my head. Time to kill on sight too. No mercy. I don't care if you have a MIC and can talk to me. Although I can clearly hear you, I may talk back. Pretend to be your friend, and then shoot you in the back. I'm sorry. It's not MY fault that this game as turned into a Deathmatch PvP game, rather than a Zombie survival game. There is literally ZERO RPG/survival elements to DayZ. You can REMOVE the zombies and still call this game DayZ. That is how far from zombie survival this game is.
