I just find it fun and challenging. My reward is their equipment, but that's not the reason. Also, I used to not kill anyone, no matter what. I was a friendly player. But since no one else was, I changed too. That's another reason.

Me and my crew will KILL on sight. Even if you say you're friendly and only have a flashlight. You are dead. No hesitation. Does this make me an asshole? No, it does not. Want to know why? Because it's a game. Real life is a totally different subject.

It's fun hunting and PVP other players. At first, I was somewhat like the person, the OP described. But, that changed quickly. I definitely get a thrill and adrenaline rush when I see another survivor and I decide to creep up on him to kill him. The end result feels great!

I found out that most people who watch DayZ streams are creepers that want to find out where you are and kill you. Flippin' weirdo's.

To be honest, it can run. It just won't even be playable. Thus, your laptop is not suitable.

I'd say, that the bare minimum to play DayZ, you'll need at least a GT520 with 1024MB of VRAM. That's playing DayZ with the lowest settings possible, but still have smooth framerates. In terms of laptops, anything in the 500M or 600M series of Nividia graphics is where you want to be.

Never trust websites like the one that was linked. Only real world testing can help. Your Laptop is suitable, but only at the bare minimum video settings. Set 3D resolution below 1280x720p Turn off: AA, Shadows, AF, etc. Then you can play. Even then, you may still have low FPS in-game. Arma is heavily dependent on graphics. I'd be surprised if you can actually play in the first place.

Once I get my entire Team Speak server playing, and there's 10 of us or more, and more than half have been playing Arma II, so they're quite familiar with the game and have developed skill. We are going to hop from server to server and kill every mofo that comes through Elektro and Cherno. I'm fed up now. No more mercy. No sympathy... only death. :D

For anyone that was watching... well, had some intense moments (killed someone, someone tried to kill me with a flippin' automatic rifle). And had some Zombie action. Most of all, was just looting the houses over and over again. I know, it's cheating, a little. Will stream again once I begin playing with my group.

I know how you feel. There are some people who play this game, the way it's supposed to be played. There are others who do the stupidest things that make absolutely no sense and is completely unnecessary. Despite the fact that this game is technically supposed to simulate REAL-LIFE as closely as possible, in the end, it's still a game. There is no punishment for killing someone, nor is there a need for a moral compass. At the end of the day, it's still a game. Your morals are not tested (only for those who are fully immersed into the game and actually want to play like their lives are completely involved). If this game actually did, in fact, simulate real-life 100% and every single player was fully immersed (including their personality, attitude, morals, etc.) and people were still shooting on sight and just killing for the hell of it. Humans are a lost cause and have zero humanity. We deserve to die as a species.
