Wow looks like you got what was coming for you

depends what the servers are like. It can take a few minutes to connect to some. I find once I've connected to one it becomes a little bit easier but not always, keep trying and youll get in.

So I was cruising the hills/mountains of the far west in my ghillie suit. Thought I might head over to Zelenogorsk so being the cautious player I am, I keep a good look around and move through the trees from the west side of the town, at the tree line a go prone to check out the town through my scope. Sitting there for a couple of minutes all of a sudden without any sound of gunfire etc, I'm dead. No unconcious just straight up dead. Not complaining really, would just like to know if its possible that you can just randomly die?? The only other thing I can think of is getting axed in the back, but found incredibly hard to believe but not impossible since I had only been on for about 20mins and started at the very west side of the map

5 mins? that sux, I eventually made it back there, could hear a lot of fly's buzzing around but no body, prob doesn't help I was wearing a ghillie suit. Oh well will just have to go raid the bandit camp again :)

How long does your body stay there for? 2 hours i have heard?

Keen to join an Aussie bandit group. Character resets are no longer available, I suggest you uninstall then reinstall DayZ. Alternatively you may head south east for 20 mins exit the server then join Canada 2 server which should see you rejoin the Dayz Map

Guys the game is in Alpha testing if you didn't know already. You also haven't paid a single cent to play the DayZ mod. Don't get attached to your gear....I will kill you eventually anyways :)

So anyone else having the same issue where at one time you'll jump on a server you can be playing on character which you have gear for and weapons, then the next day you could jump in the same server or another and you'll be another character you started off with, with different gear etc

Interestung thing happened last night, I got killed by a bandit and when I respawned I had my other character back with all the good weapons and gear I had......but now I'm dead again cause I was shot during a lag spike

Try installing manually, theres a good youtube clip the shows you how. I used it works fine

hopefully for the better, though some servers wont have the update yet so be careful

seems to be a pretty common occurrence just make sure you're not aborting when the are any connection issues, red or yellow broken chain link on screen

got the latest updates etc? I'm pretty sure there are topics already dedicated to this

Yeh def different, it happened round about the time i got out of the debug forest. Can you explain this HIVE and how and what I should look for with the servers

So I manually updated my DayZ files and lost all my stuff...I'm now assuming this was because I updated the equip file?? I was on flashing health and food too.....

Yeh how frustrating is it finding yourself back in debug after being there once before. Well what i did was walked south east for about 15-20 mins, logged out, logged into Canada 2 server and I was transported back to the normal world just the east side of the map

i've been thrown in debug forest twice now, the first time I logged off went to sleep when i woke up and jumped back into a server everything was back to normal. The second time (tonight) I logged into a server ran southeast for about 15 mins. logged out, logged into canada 2 server and wouldnt you know it i was back in the proper map. Please help spawned in Debug forest no one around logged out, logged back in and now I'm dead. Could you please respawn me in Pulkovo where I was last. I had a revolver, 3 mags, 2 epi pens, 2 morphene's, 2 pain killers, 2 bandages, 5 cokes/pepsi, one full water bottle, a crowbar, one blood bag, flashlight, smoke grenade, one baked beans Name: Jimmy The Hand ID:27522758 UPDATE: After spending 2 hours trying to connect to servers i finally got in one and I am in what seems first person, cannot move cannot open gear, can't really do anything, I've tried restarting and the same thing happens UPDATE: Not sure if you guys did it but this morning I logged back in and I'm exactly where I was before I spawned in debug forest, thanks!!! :)
