80k is people that played in the last 24 hours. that does not account for the hackers that simply haven't played the game in the last 24 hours. u need to look at the bigger picture, not just ppl who are playing right now. what im trying to say is that 2k player base is a stupidly small amount in the grand scheme of things.

dropping? talk about pulling something out of ur ass. clearly u do not know how easy it is to do a simple google search of ***s and extract execute a file huh? takes litteraly 5 seconds. before all hacks were private, now most if not all hacks, even the instant kill everyone on server hacks are public. the only difference now between a public hack and a private hack is that private u spend money and are less likely to be global banned where as public it is free and ur safe from bans from anywhere to 1day to a week (IF your careless) beleive it or not a few months ago hacks for this game were harder to get because most were private hacks that u had to pay for. now most of them are public as i mentioned already.

Lol.... theres are over 1mill unique players that play Dayz alone. ATLEAST 10% of those players hack. do the math, the number of hackers are only growing. its getting to a point where even server admins are hacking now.

2k cheaters out of 100s of thousands is huge? do u know how to count? also another thing regardings the OP. the bans do nothing because there is a site where u can buy new keys for $3. banning wont do anything

havent played in awhile and decided to come back today and noticed that all servers have like 0-8 ppl on them. whats going on? i cant find a single server with a population of even 20-30... and the servers that do have a decent population of 10-15 are filled with hackers that repeatedly kill everyone on the entire server OR camp churno/elektro. the hell is going on with this game

so from what ive seen the MAIN reason ppl go up north is because of the airfields, in particular the north west air field. if not the airfiels then its starry. and what do all of these places have in common? military loot. other than that there is no real point to go up north. ya u may get a vehicle that may or may not be there, but the same thing applies in the south as well. so i dont get it. most of the towns up there have nothing good in them, you will travel for perhaps hours to get to most of the very northern most towns only to find pure and utter garbage, and asside from towns is just a waste of space lands/forest areas that server no other purpose except to look pretty. so why even attempt to explore those lands/towns when u can get everything u need down south? why waste such potential? the map is so huge, so why have so many areas that are wasted space? ppl say "stay out of elektro" but where else are you going to go? you want to just farm deer stands and barns for eternity? because the NWAF is probally the most dangerous place on the map, so that is obv out of the question. i see no point in ever going to the nothern towns again just for a fucking enfield that i can get in cherno apartments. again, if you are listening rocket the map u are utilizing is a huge waste of space right now. im hoping that u utizlie the entire map and have it be more rewarding to travel up north.

there are 3 types of ppl imo for a environment like dayz. 1) bandits that kill u purely and only to take ur stuff. these kinds of ppl will kill u for w/e they want including beans/soda. however they do have a motivation to do so and normaly these ppl wil not bother with unarmed survivors since its a waste of ammo. 2) survivors. these ppl will kill only as a defensive measure. normaly they will ask before they shoot and try to gain frienship and form groups in order to survive. once they have what they need they will occasionaly help other survivors get on there way and even form camps that give out medical supplies and food/water. 3) murders aka pvpers. these ppl just dont give a fuck and see it as a game (which it is a game lol....) they shoot just for the fun of it and do not care what you have because usually these kinds of ppl have the best weapons anyway. these are the kind of ppl that will get NVGs and camp certain spots on night servers just for the hell of it. if ur unarmed ur a target, if ur armed ur a target. it doesnt matter who u are. so basically what the OP is describing is not bandits, but murderers(pvpers). which is legit. in a real world situation those kinds of ppl will exist. hell they exist today and are only held back by laws. thats why u should be scared if a apocalyptic event like this does happen and the world becomes lawless.

fighter jets, and maybe nukes. if i can only pic one of these two then id have to definitly say nukes. all games need nukes cuz its the american way.

the wiki says its still in game and even tells u the repair table for it. i also see it quite frequently being flow in some servers. is it really still officially removed?

you're simply getting lucky or you're on a low populated server with like 5-10 ppl.. the majority of the time i go there, with or without a group, ppl are either camping it or are looting it. im NOT saying that this happens 100% of the time. of course there are times where u can go there and there have 0 ppl in it. u can do this with cherno and elektro as well, loot it and there wouldnt be a single person in the enitre town. that does not make it safe. the area is VERY popular and as a result not safe. it is about as safe as any of the fire houses in chern/elek or the tents in cherno. sure u might go there and no one is around,but it doesnt mean its not dangerous to go there. if you know what you are doing you can loot all of the important spots in chern/elek and never get killed, does that make it safe? nope. u can loot NWAF and never once get sniped or die, does it make it safe? nope. when people start to migrate north there first stop is usually starry and then NWAF (or they will just go straight for NWAF with no stops). this means that the traffic going through these 2 places are high (for an active server) and that is what makes it just as dangerous as any of the main cities and that is what makes it a great camping spot.

No, and i think most of you do not get the point of my post. what i am saying is that the map has alot of wasted space. there is nothing to do far up north except hide/stash gear. what im saying is add more areas and more things to do up north other than loot military gear. ppl that do that will come down south anyway just to shoot ppl that have nothing. ppl say its "safer" to go north, but going to NWAF to loot is borderline suicide if u dont have a group purely because of the military loot. everywhere else? not even worth it.

this is why kids should not go out and buy comps just because they look shiny. ur friend, and urself for that matter, are idiots.

depending on server that has alot of action on it (like mines) ppl will usually duke it out in chern/elektro alot with high tier gear. after the aftermath or even during it u can just go loot there bodies. if u manage to not get shot its pretty easy. ppl go north, get there military shit, and then come back south just to fucking kill unarmed survivors. anti bandits then fight with them and the kill count grows and so does the gear looting.

there only rare when u NEED them. there common and u see them all over the place when u dont. funny how that shit works.

its not that hard to survive in this game if you stay away from players. honestly you can just go into some some random forest area and all you would need is food and water from a nearby town store. its not hard to survive in this game at all IF u stay away from players because zombies are no threat what so ever. they dont even spawn in forest areas so its a complete safe zone (funny how rocket says there is no safe zones in the game tho). all u need for defense is a weapon that u can get from any civilian area/barn. infact, if ur around no players at all then the only thing u need is a M1911 since they 1 shot zombies. once u have atleast a m1911 then u wont ever die from zombies unless ur stupid. now to help illustrate my point better i will give 2 examples. there are 2 small towns called petrovka and Gvozdno. whats the point to going to those 2 towns? why do they exist? how about dubroka? if your entire purpose is to just survive then you do not need military loot at all. military loot is purely for PvP because why the fuck would u snipe zombies with SVDs and ghullie suits? the only military stuff you would need is GPS and NVGs for survival. u do not need military weapons at all unless u want to pvp/mass pvp against other clans. other than that, there is no reason for anyone to get them.

my bad, i meant to say GPS. i assumed NVGs spawned there aswell since GPSes did. my point still stands tho
