There are so many posts about finding a way to curb PvP in this game it makes my head spin. They all start out with something about snipers with NVGs. ALWAYS. My response to that; the snipers probably went through all sorts of hell to get those things, so why can't he or she enjoy them? He or she had to either hang out in the most dangerous areas for awhile or survive a helicopter crash site encounter. Also, people just have to realize that in this game, you will die.....A LOT. And, honestly, it isn't a big deal. Today, I died with all the basic gear I needed. I was a little miffed, but one looting run through Chernogorsk(about 45mins-1hr) I had the equivalent of everything I had the previous life. I didn't just die and immediately go to the forums and whine about PvP. Just keep on going, because the only time you won't die is when you stop playing. Yes, you are going to die in downright retarded ways. Yes, you will get shot by some camper with NVGs. But unless you have NVGs and a coyote backpack and an M107(super geared up, and most people never reach this point), does it really matter that you lost your beans? Basically, everyone who is about to post spmething about curbing PvP, trust me, it's been said. A lot. Probably in different languages. Just don't post for this reason..... YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO PLAYS THIS GAME THAT GETS SNIPED. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO LOSES HIS OR HER GEAR WHEM THEY DIE. EVERYONE HAS GONE THROUGH WHAT YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH. SUCK IT UP. All the ones I can find are "40 Helicopters Starter Kit" ones that kinda kill the whole point of dayz. Are they even here anymore? I spent 20 minutes looking for a hive server and couldnt fine one lololollol

Yes, you can theoretically survive with just water bottles and a hatchet and hunting equipment, but if you want to spend 5 hours in the woods hunting rabbits, be my guest. The game is not necessarily pure PvP. but more pure player interaction. I have recently had a lot of success with the friendly approach, idk why, i guess im just lucky :D

I'm not sure, I can't do it in HD because my PC can't handle it so I never really checked, but I think so.

Maybe using other software would help. OBS works great for me on StarCraft II and DayZ when I stream, but I turn down the quality for lag since my PC sucks. I had used dxtory before and it never cooperated with me, not a fan of it,

Lets see... If consoles ruined gaming, then explain how genre-defining titles such as the Legend of Zelda(fairly sure is still console or handheld only) and Halo(got a pc port) started on consoles, and are easily the most commonly known games. Lets try to be accepting, and not make this a "my gaming system's dick is bigger than yours" contest and a bunch of "everyone who plays on consoles is a little COD kid who just wants to pwn n00bz and be l337". It isn't like every one who plays computer games is a 30 year old man who has an Oxford education. Don't get me wrong, I. LOVE. Computer games, especially StarCraft, and tbh if I had to choose I would choose PC. Then again, I had more fun playing Dishonored on Xbox than I have on DayZ in awhile, and a good PC is expensive(mine is total shit, but i persevere, oh the harsh realities of the first world :D)Just because i like PC doesn't make everyone else that prefers consoles stupid. Idk what kind of power the next gen consoles would have, but I am sure they would be capable of running DayZ in a polished state on a map the size of Namalsk at least, as the map isn't exactly huge. Just ask yourself...if a PC version of DayZ is up and running in a stable state, what would a console port do to you? The PC version should come first as it is already underway, and a console version after would be a-ok. Sorry if i pissed someone off, I just got tired of PC elitism and it exploded forth in a wall of text. As a side, there are enough buttons to play DayZ on a controller, I've done it. If a few things are added to reduce the need of buttons(I.e. a compass popping up in a small spot somewhere instead of having to toggle it, one stance change button), and a new inventory system was added, it would work swimmingly. You have a total of fifteen buttons(you can add double tap actions too) to work with for actions that are not moving or looking on an Xbox controller, assuming start is the menu button. I feel that is enough if you leave things like "surrender" unmapped, and I hardly use that anyway.

Hell, let them have their single player. They will be bored damn fast and laugh at themselves for even thinking of a preposterous idea.

Well, lets take the other form of the argument then...what would a "tank" add? With no M136, it would just be someone running around roflstomping everyone until a few people with huge guns found it and lit it up. Even with soft armor, the average bear would be pretty much useless against it. As of now, the average guy with a lee can do something effective against every vehicle, be it shooting the driver or hiding from helicopters. Being spotted by the M113 would pretty much be a death sentence, as it has a mounted gun as good as any you can carry. Unless the gun has to be open topped to shoot, but then they could just run the person over of some such silliness like that. And honestly dayz has too much military shit in it already. Wasteland is great and has tanks, so maybe you would like trying it out?

DayZ was easy, now its mildly challenging. :D

There are multiple macros for closing out the game. Thinking that you can fix it by disabling one is sad. It also disappoints me that every time they take something out(respawn) it takes me about thirty seconds to figure out how to respawn again. You can still respawn, and you can still combat log if you're quick enough.

I bought it for DayZ, but like many people i found the ArmA game semi-adequate ArmA 3 looks awesome graphics wise, but they still have the bend over animation...when i saw the demo with the guy taking someone's clothes, i was like, "custom animation, custom animation, custom animation....FUCK!"

Remember, stay off the roads, berezino is the safest city, albeit not very safe, NEAF sucks ass, there is almost always an ATV atop the mountain near cherno, double tap when shooting players, smoke grenades are great distractors, and use zombies as a weapon. Try and drive the horde at your target, he wont be able to shoot you and he will usually die or be an easy target as a result. Happy Hunting also, there is always someone in the town next to you, even if the probability says otherwise. stay on your toes, assume there is a bandit with an MMG in each town Is that a bit much?
