Yeah, it would be cool, but considering zombies are just bastardized animals right now, this may have to wait until either arma 3 or standalone. would be sweet tho.

Let me put a round of my M14 into your chest from 200m and tell me it shouldn't be a one shot kill. And most smart people wouldn't shoot one, they would shoot two or three. At the very least you would be on the ground and would die very shortly afterwards. A lee enfield's round is very close to a .308, probably a little bigger. A Winchester 1866 is a heavy rifle, I believe, and would have a similar effect damage wise. A .50 is major overkill on a person, so you pretty much can't survive it.

Um, in real life, You don't take people's dog tags, you leave them to ID the body. I THINK it is a war crime to take them, but I am not sure on that. And more likely than not, the sniper doesn't give two shits about his kills. He just kills for fun ;)

First, you would have to find a way to block my skype on my PC. THEN you would have to lowjack my ipod to shut it down every time I use skype within 10m of a pc playing DayZ. Good luck with that ;)

They're a soviet satellite state's military, of course they're incompetent. M1 Abrams Tank vs zombies? 10 g's on the tank. Even something like a Bradley, what are they gonna do, smack it to death? Just gotta carry enough BMG ammo. Could load main gun with canister shot, THAT would be something to see ;) -
Are the dogs and wolves zombies or not? If not, wolves really aren't aggressive towards humans, and dogs less so. If so, shit.....;)

Um....It's an axe, it ain't exactly weak. Go outside and split wood until it breaks. 200 SWINGS? or 200 HITS? If I go out and flail my ax like a retard, I'm pretty sure the integrity will remain unchanged ;) -
This is a very common situation in DayZ Player 1 Spawns, Gets Kamenka, respawns, Gets Drakon, respawns, Gets Cherno, plays. Why? There is next to no loot in most of the small towns. Spend 30 minutes in a town, you will be lucky to get a gun. Spend 30 minutes in cherno, you have an ALICE pack, assault rifle. food, and medicine. Also, they are still fairly dangerous to a new player, not much less so than a city. With respawning being disabled, small towns need to have more enterable buildings to make it so it isn't such a hassle to find good loot. I believe they are fixing that in ARMA 3, and this suggestion is mostly for ARMA 3, since it would require a map adjustment. IF more enterable buildings are added, people would be able to actually get geared up in a town instead of having to get lucky to get the most basic items. It would make supply stops on the way to an airfield actually productive with ten buildings instead of three or four. Also, each town should have at least a barn in most towns(not sure if this is already the case) so newer spawns have a better chance of finding a weapon. Another problem is that the only spot to get medical supplies are the cities, namely hospitals. This is just another reason to avoid towns, since they can't supply you with medicine. A solution would be to add a pharmacy building in most towns, stocked with a small amount of morphine, epi-pens, bandages, and painkillers. Blood bags would remain restricted to hospitals. With this, you are no longer screwed if you break a leg in Kamenka, you can just crawl to the pharmacy. It would also give groups or individuals travelling to the military camps a way to resupply.

Most COD kids dont play this game, mostly since arma is the polar opposite of COD and arma itself isn't mainstream, nor is it as accessible as COD.

If you are on a crusade to clean the DayZ forums, I will gladly help you, but the main problem is that the people with 3 total posts who just made the account to bitch about bandits spams down all the good suggestions to page 10. Maybe just having a dedicated team for getting rid of duplicates would be a part of the solution. Also, on the medical thing, maybe a thing would be to make it so a lot of advanced medical procedures(transfusions) required you to be in a hospital to perform, like a bunch of little rooms inside the hospital where you can do transfusions and whatnot. And also add mini-clinics to prevent hospital swarming :)

I agree, always did love side chat. You could ask someone the friendly questions, and if they don't respond, just shoot, and if they do, team up or just go your separate ways.

From a gameplay point of view, I really don't feel like surviving the NW airfield, getting good stuff, getting off for a day or two, BOOM UPDATE! And start all over again.....You would lose people because eventually, people would get sick of having their stuff reset. This would work if the goal of the people playing it was to test, but it isn't. I play DayZ because it's fun, not because I want to test the product. If you reset my shit every time you want to add two new features and fix a few bugs, then why should I try and get good gear if I'm just going to lose it? Maybe on big updates, sure, but the last update really didn't add much. -

Maybe if you limited the amount of extra characters you could have, it would work out. Also, make it so that the characters could not interact. I.e. if you drop a gun on one of your characters and log in on another one in the same server, you will not see the gun, but other players will. That way you couldn't use them as storage. Also, if you die with one character, your other character cannot log in if he is within a rather large distance(500m-1km) for an hour or two so people cant just PK in cherno, die, log in on another character, PK, die, and so on.

Precisely. It is jumping the gun a bit, but consoles make a shitton more money and are far more accessible, so why not? .. Engine choice-I am partial towards CryEngine 3, just because of graphics and I LOVE crysis 1 and 2, but the skyrim engine(not sure what it is called) could work well also. This whole thing would be a far in the future shin-dig, so time and amount of work will not be as much of an issue. There are plenty of buttons... Movement and looking would be on sticks, B would switch stances, bumper(L or R) would switch fire modes, aiming and firing on triggers, chat would just be voice or a D-pad button, vaulting and interactions would be A, double tapping it would bring up actions menu( LIke mousewheel), X reloads, double tapping it activates free-look, Y switches guns, leaning would be like crysis 2, when you are near a wall you could peek out. or above, and lowering guns could be double Y, inventory could be the back button, menu would be start, and flashlight would be one of the bumpers. Did I leave anything out? Because I think I got all the main buttons I use while I play. You could always map out other things. And as I said earler, make the map smaller and the capacity about 25 and you got yourself an Xbox DayZ, free of elitist PC gamers ;)

If you just made the map smaller(a little bigger than skyrim?) and made the capacity lowered, it would basically just be a scaled-down DayZ that wasn't glitchy and doesn't lag. It was the same deal with minecraft-could the xbox make the huge worlds the pc could? No, but does it necessarily HAVE to?
