    New idea for the zombies

    They need to slow down for the reason that they are so warpy when they run its hilarious. You can't hit them at all while in a field unless you meatshield for a buddy and he shoots them or u let them get around u and shoot them. Mainly, just smooth out their movement and slow them down some. The AI pathfinding sucks so much ass it will need to be fixed before any speed mechanic can be adjusted.

    Eliminate M107 and AS50

    I've never even seen that thing after visiting the barracks 8 times. Heck, i only found one mag for it on all those trips. In my experience, it really can't be overpowered if 2.6 percent of people actually have one. Besides, the CZ550 kills in one shot too, so what's the big difference?

    Start us off with NOTHING please

    I think it's pretty much perfect the way it is. You barely have anything but the bare essentials for playing and a light to play at night, and a backpack is nice to have in the beginning. No reason to make it harder for people just because some ppl like to be hardcore. You want to spawn without a backpack? Drop it in the beginning and move from there. That way people that want the bag can have it, and those who don't can just toss it.

    I am for the creation of "casual" servers, even though I would not play one. Casual gamers have a place too, and if they want to play without fear of someone shooting them, fine. Just make it so that your character doesn't port over from casual to normal servers. Just because you prefer to play the normal game doesn't mean everyone has to play YOUR way. Some people just want to play with the zombies, and that's a-ok. Who am I to say that you can't play casual servers because i wouldn't?

    That would just be like killing a fly in your house by burning down the entire house. You would hurt more people than you would serverhoppers, and it still wouldn't fix the core problem. More flies will just come back to the houses ashes...

    Make it harder, less loot

    NVGs are so hard to find they simply cannot ruin the night game. The chances of you finding someone with NVGs not outside of stary/NW is so low it isn't even worth considering. If you are in stary or the NW airfield, you are going to die, more likely than not, regardless if they posses NVGs. And like ^ said, the motivation to get these things adds something to do once you get stabilized. Also, I don't play night because I like to be able to see without using a light, not because of a fear of NVGs. If i got NVGS, I would definitely play night since I can actually see. If you want more ppl to play night, add more NVGs.

    That actually looks like it would make it significantly harder to see some1 from a distance. Maybe it should add a backpack-hiding mechanic, which would make it more stealthy since that is, in my opinion, one of the first and most obvious things to look for if you think something is a survivor.

    I always wondered why are on a team. It would be cool, but they would have to rise randomly, not just waiting until ur smack-dab in the middle of them to jump up and attack zergling-style.

    It does get annoying, storing your supplies in the bag but having to keep like a morphine, a canteen, some food, a blood bag, and bullets outside for fast use. That way my backpack wouldn't just be stuffed with excessive amounts of shit i have to spend 30s in a menu just to use ;)
  10. I like the idea. I think berries should stack(4?) since they give so little time. Add a nice little dynamic to the game.

    Nothing punishing/hampering bandits will ever be implemented. It isn't "Be a survivor or get assfucked by something you have no control over". It's a sandbox;anyone can play how they like and everyone has an equal opportunity to do so. There will not be anything forcing you into a specific type of gameplay.

    suggestion: starter packs

    The bags are uncommon loot for a reason;they're good items. You really don't need a bigger starting bag just so you can use an axe. And Superior is right, if you walk around in cherno/electro for a bit, you will eventually find an ALICE pack or a czech pack. Also, the assault pack is 12, not 10 =).

    Mechanic to lessen PKing

    Dude, the name for people killing you for your stuff is bandit. You can't punish bandits. And all the scream would do is delay them. They can just wait for them to clear off. More than 80% of the danger in this game is from other people. If you make PKing impossible, all of a sudden its just people racing from location to location trying to find all the really good stuff. There is no avoiding rushing into a military camp-everyone will just run in if they know they can't be shot. PvP is a major element in this game, and if you limit it or remove it, you make the game a zombie sandbox, and that gets stale really fast.
  15. AK-47's should be everywhere. Not 74's, not AK-108's or whatever, the AK47. It is the most common assault rifle in the world, and in a former soviet satellite state, you would be hard pressed to find anything but.

    please ad kill rewards on the game

    The reward for killing people comes in the form of you taking their shit, not some act of God or medium machine guns raining from the sky. If they are carrying a makarov and you have a DMR then they are probably not worth shooting. Besides, adding this will make everyone spawn-kill on the coast to accumulate "killstreaks".

    My Review Of The Dayz Mod

    You gotta realize the point of the game is to die. After you get to the point where you are well-armed and supplied, the only thing left to do is to die. I find camping on high value areas agonizingly boring, so after i get done on the coast, i head to stary sobor to try and get cool shit to play with. If i die, that's what I was trying to do anyway. If not, cool beans, im loaded with OP shit now. It's an alpha, lots of the kinks aren't worked out yet. Basically, don't get attached to your shit because you are going to lose it. And like so many other threads, this one features a "A SNIPERS KILLING MEEEEEE! WAAAAAAAAAAH!" clause. I personally have never been killed by a sniper, nor have i encountered one(hope my luck holds =)). And the exploits like server hopping and dc'ing to avoid death really can't be fixed without making everyone wait 3 hours to log out or log back in.
  18. I don't know about you, but I don't bleed out after receiving a blunt force wound from an emaciated walking corpse, nor do I break a leg after I get slapped once or twice. Sure, after maybe the 10th hit, you should start bleeding, and if you are in real bad shape (5000 or less blood) you should have a greater chance of breaking a leg, but I can't even count the number of times I've gotten a broken leg at 12k blood and bleeding 3 times out of the 4 times i had been struck. Honestly, realistic does not mean hard, necessarily. Suggestion-make broken legs fairly uncommon(5% chance at >5000 blood, 12% at <5000?) and bleeding get more unlikely as you lose blood(which would actually be realistic since a person with high BP would bleed more readily than one with low BP). Also, bullets knocking someone unconscious? Immediately?

    Great idea. Maybe people could find different types of in-game clothing so they could identify the people in their group at range(i.e. everyone in group x wears a green shirt)And maybe a white flag could be like the universal friendly sign like the happy dance =).

    I was thinking:what if there was a use for bottles other than making a ruckus? Maybe with a bit of gasoline and rags, people could make molotov cocktails! It could be used as an anti-vehicle weapon as well as against tightly packs groups of un-aggro'd zeds. However, based on the frequency of finding jerry cans and bottles, the radius of damage should be highly limited. The damage should also not be too extreme. Maybe a 1m square radius and maybe it would take 9s of standing in the radius to kill you. The problem of people running around with 6 firebombs at all times may become an issue, so I would say to make it so 1 jerry can can only make 1 cocktail(unrealistic, but honestly, do we really need everyone to have an inventoryload of firebombs?).

    I'm gonna have to stay polite. :dodgy: The main problem with 3rd person in DayZ (and Arma2) is you can see without having to show yourself (which is basically "cheating" in ambush scenarios IF the point of the game is realism and the fear of every corner in an zombie apocalypse and Rocket decides what's the point of the game' date=' not us). Basic irl ambush theory: If you're camping at a spot where you can see the eyes of the enemy, your eyes should be possible to be seen (and shot) by the eyes of the enemy. (I hope it was clear :S) Solve this problem and everything's fine for the realism part of fights except for the intuitive close range aiming (which isn't there for better or worse, see ).I believe the third person system of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 solved this problem but I can't remember for sure :S [/quote'] It isn't really overpowered if everyone can do it. It's your choice to give yourself a handicap by staying in 1st person, but that doesn't mean other people have to. Besides, the game isn't 100% realistic;if it was, it wouldn't be fun. It gives some liberties for gameplay and this is one of them.
  22. I like the idea, but maybe it could be more like they automatically combined so if you found two 2rnd stacks they would automatically combine into one space with 4 rounds. That way it wouldn't quadruple the amount of ammo you would find(like if you just replaced the 2rnds with 8rnds), but it would also make it take up less space

    Item damage when killing players

    A M16 round is 5.56mm wide. The chances of that hitting a morphine injector when aiming at the center of mass is pretty much nil. Besides, a can won't implode if a light round hits it. You can still save maybe 50% of the food, depending on the type. Now if a 7.62 AK47 round hits it, THAT will probably render it useless.So what you ripe a huge-ass hole in his bag, the majority of the stuff is still usable. It isn't like if you nick a weapon it completely falls apart. An AK47 can take quite a bit of punishment before becoming inoperable. And if your shooting at someone and you're aiming at their gun, you're a dumbass. Period. Center of mass, baby.
