You do gain humanity for killing bandits but its a very small amount. The lower their humanity the more humanity you gain. And since most kids these days are bouncing in and out of bandit/survivor skins you will retain you skin. BUT that said. Even I a hero, know that every bandit should understand that they are liable to be killed by everybody. Hero's, Survivors, Swamp monsters, Zombies and even yes. other bandits.

I've hip fired snipers and missed and sometimes Got amazing headshots. The shots go to where your barrel is pointing, the don't magically shoot further to the left. I understand how recoil works and I personally think arma is fine.

Hello there again my Applejacx. I've changed my weapons since were assuming I will have time to get good with these. A Tar-21 as my primary. Small, but got a decent range (300m) the small bull up design makes it good for CQC but it has the power of an assault rifle and the accuracy of a M4 Sidearm would be some for of a .22 LR semi auto pistol. You really don't need much more for peircing a skull at short range ammo is light and super freaking common. Second primary would be a Mossberg 930 good reliable shotgun, that I own. Melee, K-bar, crowbar, whatevers on hand i guess.

Well if were going to toss out hackers and glitches. There are silent guns in the game, and like the guy above me said, if they were closer then a Kilometer with a supersonic weapon, you'd die before hearing the shot.

Not his fault if he is being shore camped, been on plenty of servers where people just drive up and down the coast road killing people. But the way to counter this is to either find a low pop server, or as stated "get better" at hiding.

I don't usually get into CQC that isn't over in a few seconds, but if It turns into a long term fight I use my smoke and flares. If they are in a building I will throw the smokes into the building if they are not in a building I will throw them at a cover position. Take a few shots and move. This usually works on the first or second try as they try to bum rush me during my smoke transfer.

At 20 i'm the youngest person in my group of friends on Vent. The oldest is 36 and the average is 24. Honestly I hope that when I'm 30,40 and so forth I still have the time to sit down and play a game for a few hours. I personally think its fantastic when older players come into the servers they are generally more fun to talk to then the usual rabble.

Nice to see that at least all of it wasn't flame and some people actually had good responses. I somewhat, agree with you. Let me explain. When it comes to using Teamspeak, Skype or even Ventrilo, its basically just a walkie talkie or a radio the person has. If there was a server that banned third party programs yes I would play on it. Sometimes. Other times I like to get on Dayz with my friends we all kill ourselves wherever were standing or kill each other or whatever. But I digress, so we die. And then we just talk have fun gear up and play together for a few hours. And some of the coordination we do such as me on overwatch, another on vehicle standby, would all be impossible without Vent. BUT that is is the point you may say. Well I say, we found some radio's. I took the walkie off a dead soldier and so did my friends. We found batteries. Suddenly we can talk over a long distance. Now, people jumping to the forums and asking for help, I agree completely bitch move yes. But I cannot see a way to stop that.

Had the Hero skin since they added it. I had this problem when it first came out, and a few times since, but everytime? hmm.. I sadly don't have any tips for you other then maybe play on a private hive where you wont have this issue till its fixed Although how does one go hero "raiding" NWAF

I pick a shotgun for the my lack of owner ship and I find that in a Zombie survival scenario I bolt action is going to be worse off and a Semi Auto while nice, I won't lie i've just never been the most accurate of shots. I also own the Mossberg in question meaning that it is more available to me, for pick up and Go. My other dream weapon would be probably your classic FN FAL. My father owns one and is the first gun I ever shot and learned to maintain. Also those suckers are reliable, not as an AK but damn near better then most if any american weapon

Head: Boonie hat or baseball cap, basically for the same reasons as you. Keeps the sun out, useful to keep smaller things keeps rain off my face. Upperbody: Thermal underwear, a Survival or combat shirt, A utility or combat vest (military or civilian all depends on what I have access to. Shirt with either padded elbows or a pair elbow pads. Water bladder. if its cold then I'd also want a Combat jacket, and a facewrap Legs: TDU tactical pants, with a pair of themal underwear underneath. Knee Pads Feet: If I could get my pair on some Combat boots for sure, but otherwise I'd have to go with non-steel to hiking boots with thick soles, and waterproof. Wool socks underneath. Other Gear: Well I lack advanced knowledge on outdoors survival. I know some basics but I have the advantage of living in the United States where technology is abundant this means that for at least the first months of an outbreak much gear and some food would and a shelter are as simple as stepping into a house, be it a farm house or suburb. And at the first knowledge of an outbreak (assuming I hear about it in advance) this is the gear I would order either online or go and procure myself. Otherwise it would be just part of my dream kit. As stated above a water bladder about 2 liters, but with a built in filter, Pocket first aid kits, pocket venom and toxicity kits. I agree with the K-bar nothing beats an easy to reach knife in a pinch but i'd also have an urban survival Prybar. basically a small crowbar. Weapons: As stated a knife such as a K-bar and the Prybar. But I would also have a reliable low maintenance weapons. This could be anything from the famous AK family or Even a FAL but I do not own one. What I do own is a Mossberg 930 12g with several different variations of shells ranging from Half shell mini slugs to 12g buckshot. You can basically maintain that thing with a toothbrush. As a side arm I'd have to say any .22 LR semi auto pistol, why only a .22? Well if I am shooting to kill a zombie, then I am probably aiming for the head, and withing a few meters (and since its a pistol I don't have much more then that) You don't need anything more then .22, also ammo is abundant, less weight and not as loud as a .45 Reference pictures Tactical Pants Shotgun Tactical Shirt Tactical Crowbar Water bladder Hmm I liked this post made do some thinking! So that tittle may be a tad more dramatic then needed. But I just want to know about the state of the Servers on Dayz Commander. I do not like playing on Private Hives. I am somewhat of Purist, and I also find it aggravating that literally all the private hives I've seen are not vanilla its all 200+ vehicles, no pvp, blah blah etc etc. Also I don't want to work for my 40k+ humanity again lol. So when I go to Dayz Commander, I find literally only two hive servers that I can connect to. The rest are either insanely high ping or wrong beta patch. Basically I just want other people opinions on this I think its a tad stupid, but I guess I'll have to suck it up and move over to a private hive somewhere. So feel free to spam your private server adverts as well. Summary, I want your opinions on the insane number of private hives, and a good one to suck up and join. Preferably a vanilla or as close as I can get.

I started reading this Forum thinking to see a few pictures. 2 hours later, no beans, and split sides I have stumbled upon what is possibly the best forum page in existence.

I keep calling it a simulator because that is what the intention is. This games sniping mechanics while they are easy to grasp are infact a tad harder then your run of the mill call of duty. And yes I agree using any .50 should be a zombie ridden death sentence because I called it a ZOMBIE simulator. But sadly as this is a mod of a game, it does not live up to all it should be. Now I guess I should make my post far more clear without any explanation for my thoughts as that is what is expected. These guns exist. or well type of guns and by that I mean .50 or just high damage rifles. So why should they not be found in a game that is to simulate that kind of life that is based off of our own reality?

I don't understand this thread Do you want a Zombie Survival Simulator, i.e. A game that will be played like you were simulating a real life zombie apocalypse or Do you want a Zombie Survival Game i.e. Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty Dayz will always be a game at its core of course but what I mean is one the Simulator that I personally wish to play (and what it seems Rocket wishes for if I am correct) Makes you simulate Life. That means Sickness, Guns (military and civilian), Hunger, and all the aspects that come with living. Expect played out in a format where there are now Zombies added to the threats. Where as with a Survival Horror game you will basically have WarZ. You will be running around and rather then trying to survive you will instead be fighting for a gun, rather then the meds to cure you sickness or the beans. A simulator will make the game more of a challenge and there for a much higher reward then if It was just, CoD with guns. TL;DR The game is a simulator stop QQ'ing about guns that actually exist its a simulator making it better then a mere game go play Warz if thats what you want.
