hey, id suggest to remove thermal weapons. they make the game WAY to easy, u can not NOT see players with those things. usually when u sit somewhere overlooking something u allways feel like u might have missed someone. with a thermal you just do a 360 and if u didnt see anyone then no one is there. and yea, i do understand, some here on the forums want more distinguishable weapons. i do understand the L85A2 AWS is quite rare. esp. since one of the recent patches removed it from peoples hands due to a bug. i lost mine this way. but i think now it does spawn again. imagine 2 squads engaging each other, both having thermals at their hands. fucking boring. so my suggestion: take out easy mode thermals. thanks

hey guys, so im at cherno supermarket and a guy starts shooting grenades at me. i do not see the explosions but i can hear them close to me. i start running, he fires shots, misses alot, more grenades more running. after a while i take cover behind a house and when he comes running around i shoot him. i didnt know he was a hacker until i open his gear and find a weapon with a HOLO (whatever that is, i think it was a M4A1 Holo). i get suspicious look up the dayz wiki and find no 'holo' weapon on the list. so i drop that weapon somewhere, run back and take my AKS-74 Kobra back. not using that weapon seem obvious. but heres my question: do you upgrade your alice pack to a coyote? do you take his toolbelt-stuff, NVGs, rangefinder? cliffs: - got attacked - ran a while, killed the guy - dude has weapon that is not legid -> obv taking the gun is wrong, but do you take other stuff?

oh snap, i think your right. ingame the weapon is called M4A1 Holo i think and the dayz wiki lists it under M4A1 HWS M203. dang, i destroyed it and took my AK47 Kobra back. stupid.

the amount of similar stupid videos makes me think atleast 50% of the playerbase is about 12 years old.

there are hotspots because currently servers are limited to a quite low amount of max players in proportion to the big map. how does the game get old because of it? you can find quite good items without visiting hotspots. but this game is not about getting the best items anyways. it is about player interaction and without hotspots youd basically play singleplayer. deal with it.

this discussion is NOT about the hacked weapon. its about the items that legitly spawn in dayz but prolly have been scripted in by the ahcker along with his weapon.

not sure if i deserve a reward for killing a hacker that obv can not hit the broad side of a barn with all his hacked items. spoiler: i took the coyote and his toolbelt stuff, though

thats basically the question: are the items on a guy with a hacked weapon legid? most likely not?

the way i see it medics will have to run a while on a new server to find the person they want to help. should not affect medic play too much imo

for fucks sake, if you guys are sick of random player killing, go play with some friends or build a group on the forums. if by then u are still getting shot over and over again, dropping like flies, then this game might not be the game for you. and yes, this game is still in alpha. and it is for a good reason: rocket had a great idea for a game that is very different from other games made by big companys. differently to the approach of most of those rockets plan was to include the community into the process of building this game, therefor there is an OPEN alpha. and he listens to players. he just wont listen to stupid whiners who want to turn this game 180° around and turn it into a completely different game where everyone is trowing flowers at zombies turning them into friendly woodcreatures that everyone can hug for free.
