    If you get "fancy military gear" from another player, confirm it exists as a spawn in DayZ (check the wiki). If it does, use it. If it doesn't, put it back on the body and hide the body to despawn the weapon. If you're playing the game legitimately, don't worry about that kind of thing. If you hacked to get it, the script is logged, you will be caught, server banned and BE global banned in the next banwave.

    If you're using Veteran in the server config: class Missions { class DayZ { template = dayz_1757.Chernarus; difficulty = "Veteran"; }; }; And you have weaponCursor = 0 (Veteran class) in the server profile, restart the server and crosshairs should be off. If what I said above is obvious and unhelpful, I'm really sorry for this useless post. But, you can not edit Expert (Mercenary) settings, if you try to it reverts back to regular.

    A human won't survive 90% blood loss, yet dropping from 12000 to 1200 will still leave you alive and sprinting (though randomly falling unconscious). Just a typical health game mechanic.

Scope out an area you want to loot from afar and check for zombies, there's zombies spawned? Means there's players there. More often than not those players are looting the things I want and they're certainly not gonna give them to me if I ask nicely.
