Just bought a Private server and have no idea why my settings arnt implemented

Hi there First off i would like to say i have little to no knowledge about server side configuration I have followed the instructions about editing the server via the config options. Everytime i start the server back up no changes have been made Im using the bliss private hive thing Does anyone know what might be causing changes to not be implemented? Ok so I know everyone is really excited for the game alpha release, would it not be an idea to have a pre order system so that the dayz team can get some extra cash in and judge by volume of sales how popular the foundation state of the game will be? Is it to early to do something like this? What you all think? Jack

Hi guys ive taken a break from gaming for a while, came back to play my faverite game and found that the hud displaying zombie kills and blood is gone, is there something im doing wrong? is it being displayed somewhere else? please help Thanks in advance

this also seems to be happening with cars, my clan has had a yellow hatchback for days now, its blown up 3 times and was always found at the place before being blown up, Indestructible cars ftw -
no i personaly would ban em, and write a forum post inthe correct area stating there ban, and for them to apeal there if they wished....

personaly i think that people you hounestly expect of hacking or are helping to aid hacking should be deffinatly banned first, although this isnt our desicion its the devs at the end of the day, they make the rules as to what we can and cant do with our own servers. personaly, i say yes, ban em if you know one of them has been hacking and the rest are making it difficult for you with naming conventions.... whats the harm in banning someone that is suspected of doing that and then letting them apeal later on..... Just some admins that have had a power trip with the ban/kick tool that have ruined it for everyone im afriad

proberly, although the nvidia 5 series have really come down in price, so i would recommend them over Radeon mabye a 560? or 580, 590 if your budget allows :) my current rig is , intel i7 980x oc'd 4.0 Ghz, 24 giggs ddr3 Ram 1600mhz, 2x GTX590, and runs the game like butter and hopefully all games to come :) especialy arma 3 :D also watercooled

i used six launcher to do it, im not so technical when it comes to gaming files, could you explain a little further, any help would be great, and mabye a link to the exact file, sorry for the newby questions -

this just happend to me and a friend, i had been playing 2 hours before now, logg back in to find myself at starting point againnn! and he had the same issue too. dunno whats wrong

i just log into my server and join the game to find that i no longer have my weapons and i have respawned day zero at the coast? this happening to everyone? or is it just my server playing up....

Is DayZ harder to run than Arma 2 Free?

what northy said is the Only way to fairly do it, this works in eve online a very popular MMO game, if your ship is engaged by another player it remains on grid for 15mins, although the game is different and so are the timelenths of getting killed, implimenting something like this would be very faverouble, the question is, do you have the same agression counter for both player agression and zombie agression

perhaps adding smokes to the loot would be a good idea, no one cares about deining of cancer in this sorta situation, and could provide a usefull boost like a temporary stim to health. or could take away hunger for a little while? I dunno what you guys think?

this seems like a pretty neat idea, but could take away the urgency of going into towns and around the map, i know food is still factored in, but do we want people being able to solely live in a forest and survive without raiding a town everday?, might make the game a little less fun pvp wise but still a good idea non the less
