If you're doing it manually 1. Download newest patch 2. go to your dayz folder 3. replace old files with new files that you just downloaded I find that it is easier to download through torrent so that you can download everything together. Also if you download it in torrent then it will come in an @dayz folder so you can also just replace the entire @dayz folder if you want to. Edit: you may also need to download arma 2 oa beta patches to get new dayz patches to work

What about some kind of bounty board. Like if you have enough player kills posters will appear in towns and give some kind of minor reward, and of course you get their gear too. The poster could give a rough estimate on their location, so people would hunt for them. Or maybe just make a player made bounty board. They attach stuff to board that appears around towns and the only way to loot board is getting like the finger or somehing form the target. And other people could loot the finger from the original assassin or something. Just spit balling ideas

This is the second time something like this has happened to me. A guy with only starting gear comes up to me and salutes me and everything, so i think he is cool. I'm not bandit or anything so i don't think he will do anything to me. We walk around a small city and pick apart all the loot and everything. He then shoots me when he tells me that i can have some of his ammo and i bend down to get it. Is the best way just to never trust anyone and stay on your own? I keep trying to help people and get murdered but want to maintain my non bandit status.

I like the crazy amounts in cities but the small settlement areas shouldn't have so many. Maybe scaling them down a bit would help with certain areas, i mean i get that the occasional small town might have a high number, but not all places should have 50 zombies in them. Maybe make the cities filled with them and give each small settlement a percentage to have a drastically increased amount at random. Or any military places could be absolutely filled since survivors would want to try to get military protection

Yeah i keep getting internal server error

If we have copied the add on folder to OA from Arma 2 then can we delete the original arma 2 add on folder, because mine is like 8 gigs. Is it supposed to be that large? Edit Also how do you start OA only with non steam? I go to arma 2 folder and click the OA button but it looks exactly like CO. Edit again: ok so i think my confusuion is that i downloaded it from amazon. I downloaded Arma 2 first and then OA, so it's now CO. I think the thing im not understanding is the OA folder only has one folder in it which is "Expansion" and the arma 2 folder has everything(including OA stuff) in it. I tried putting the @dayz folder with the extracted files into the arma 2 folder(which has everything in it) and i now have the @dayz on corner of screen, which i assume means its working. My only problem is i keep trying to join servers and get stuck at the recieiving data part. Sorry if i said this in a confusing way, not very good with this kind of thing
