Hi there. I desperately need a pair of NVGs for my night ops and am willing to trade. I have antibiotics, 4 frag grenades, morphine and for the time being: M1911+ammo, M14 EP1 (M14 AIM in-game) +ammo(uses DMR mags), until the server restarts and my tents eat all my stuff. If anyone is interested we will coordinate a meet through skype voice chat and the meet will go down strictly under my conditions. Don't try anything stupid or this will be taken to a whole new level, you have been warned. I play on european servers.

Maybe not for survivors alive long enough or groups but maybe a loner who doenst play at night and can spare the NVGs is willing to take some antibios or my gun and a couple frags. And antibiotics ARE rare.

Hi, I'm a lone wolf too (in EU servers) and I'm afraid looting while staying unnoticed is becoming boresome and I need some coordinated play, maybe a few runs at high-risk areas and whatnot. I am extremely efficient on my own, gather gear when servers are not so populated and right now I have pretty decent gear and also have a backup gear stashed in case I die. I have set up a small camp of 2 tents and I am willing to pool my gear with others if I trust/like them enough. I don't encourage banditry and killing people for sport although sometimes you know you have to be the first to shoot in order to survive, I have made quite a few of these mistakes in the past. Cross me now and I throw a few frags your way. Anyway I need to play with good players who already know how the game works, how zombies work, estimate when it's ok to crouch or run while Zeds are nearby, also it'll be great if my partners are ARMA2 vets and can handel themselves in a firefight. I really don't want to group with people that will be a burden to me. I loot fast, use the Sprint and Grab strategy in large villages/towns and a stealthy approach in smaller villages with buildings with only one exit. Generally you have to be fast and be able to lure all your pursuers in a large building to slow them down, then go about looting the next place. If you are ok with all of that, add me on skype 'zeichef' or steam under the same name. Obviously voice chat and fluent english is a must.

May I suggest that people in need of assistance should also provide their general server location info in order to determine if they play on european/american/australian servers. If someone's coming to help you, you must meet in a server where both the doc and the patient have fairly good pings.

Rocky did your group happen to kill a ghillie suit guy yesterday in a field next to Gorka? That was me and I were just trying to scare that guy, I never kill survivors :( Then 2-3 guys start popping AK rounds towards me... I also don't disconnect when in danger so I just died. I had decent gear and I am upset I was shot.

Just saw a V-22 Osprey in DE 73 passing above Rog castle, I was on top of the tower. I panicked, didn't think to take a screenshot. It was definately an Osprey. Don't know if I should make another topic for this so I post it here :)

I am just saying there should't be murder for sport or murder for 'a weapon' in THIS game. It doesn't feel right. Camping a hot zone and killing anyone who comes near? WHY? Why would you kill someone who is virtually one of the only survivors after the apocalypse? I see no reason why new players can't have access to hot areas with good loot. Why should you shoot them down? The purpose of the game is destroyed this way. You should try to survive, maybe help others in need. But not kill for the lulz or kill because 'it's your territory'. If you have the stones try to hold a town while INSIDE of it and not 500m up a hill beneath the trees with a sniper rifle. Why do you bother with this game if you're so obsessed with PVP? The core gameplay isn't PvP oriented. I will probably never reply in this thread again, just wanted to say this stuff, flame all you want, PvP players who kill unjustified are pussies in my book. Hello there docs, I just wanted to let you know I found antibiotics in the hospital in elektro and I know they are ultra-rare so if someone from the medical team wants to have it I can meet you in any european server :) Usually I play in DE 73.

Stop killing people you maniac. It's after the apocalypse and 99% of the population is dead or undead and you kill the other survivors for a SNIPER RIFLE? Above all this is a ROLE PLAYING GAME and you gotta play along for the experience to be as it was meant to be.

Ok so it was my first time I actually lived more than half an hour and had an einfield with plenty of ammo, many painkillers, lots of bandages, lots of drinkables but didn't have ANY food whatsoever. So was on my way to a deer stand I had visited before with another character. When I saw the deer stand I lay down and alt-tabbed to see my messages on skype because it was going crazy in the background. Sixty seconds later I go back in and I see a survivor climbing the stand. I panicked, he was armed with a winchsester repeater. He got back down and to my surprise I see yet another survivor creeping in the grass. I sat back and watched, didn't even know if that guy was following him or they were together. Eventually the sneaky motherfucker got up and regrouped with the other guy. My hunger indicator was really really red and one of them had NV which he equiped during day time for a few secs for whatever reason. I didn't say anything in direct communication and suddenly there were on the move and coming straight at me, although they hadn't seen me yet. I really panicked and took a shot off, missed and they immediately crouched and looked around. Grass was blocking my view so I let another shot off where I thought they might be. I guess I headshoted the poor guy and he was gone. The other guy quickly equiped the NV again and he probably dropped it so I couldn't find it if I killed him. I felt bad for them so I quickly typed this in the direct chat: "Leave the body and go, or you will die too". He started zig zagging while crouched and scanned the area to find me. I shot him and probably broke his legs or something because he fell down and I could hear him moan in pain, I crept up behind him and ended his misery, he was bleeding like a motherfucker. I looted what I could carry, a nice water bottle, M1911 3 mags, hunting knife and some soda but no food anywhere... nor could I find the NV no matter how hard I looked (also didnt have time, food indicator would start flashing in a few min). So I started blasting zeds in a nearby farm hoping one of them would have a can of food, and surely enough one of them had a can of Frank&Beans... I don't feel good about what I did and felt really sorry about those guys seeing their gear afterwards I knew they were at least a few hours alive. What drove me to do it wasn't loot greed, I just wanted some food and wasn't willing to risk talking to them as there were 2 of them and I was alone, would have lost if I didn't surprise them. I guess there was the option of just letting them pas, but it was an intense situation.

They didn't look THAT hardcore. They didn't even have matches or a map. Rarest item they had (except the NVGs) was the watch that spawns at a 1.68% rate in residential areas.

Nah man I may be kind of new in DayZ, I've been playing ARMA2 since it came out though. They were NVGs, he equiped them with his weapon in hand. Anyway, since that incident, I see DayZ differently now. I move like someone has me in his sights all the time. You never know when someone is gonna pop your head out of nowhere in this game. It's exhilirating.

I laughed SO hysterically at this. Anyway, I haven't read the whole thread, just wanted to show my respect to the doc and everyone else. I don't suppose the operation has spread overseas to us europeans has it? I'm a day old and doing pretty good actually, just creeping through small villages minding my own buisness, losing the occasional thousand of blood :). Had to kill 2 survivors :( I am not proud of it but they gave me no choice. I am now with about 7300 blood (I've been with under 9k for at least 5 game hours) and NO food and NO matches. If I find matches I can stop barging in houses to find food or start killing hordes of undead just for a can of 5 year old beans... IF by any chance someone playing in the UK servers is reading this, I'm in UK28 (FML-Zeds) and am willing to give 3-4 bandages plus a box of painkillers and 3 cans of coke to whomever kind enough to bring me some more rare medical supplies... I will even give out my beloved M1911 with 3 mags for a box of matches :( EDIT: I see everything almost colorless... I assume it's because of blood loss...
