I find this whole thread amusing. It is a difficult task being an admin in this hacker friendly game, and it is equally difficult to avoid abusing powers. I have removed admins and banned clan members in the past for abuse. I see TLM has his hands full.

Our clan hosts a Private Hive server and players keep getting kicked for "script restriction #38" everytime they run into an object while driving a vehicle. Any thoughts?

I am looking to rent a Private Hive server, can this be done or are all hosting companies on the official hive only?

Can you explain? Do you mean that all the servers they rent use the same databases? I mainly want to be able to check the logs and ban people for hacking, spawning and general douche baggery.

Hi, I have recently read through the General Server Sticky on administration but I have recently had an issue that I need help with. I am an admin of a Private Hive server and I have had to Ban a few people for spawning in vehicles and rascism. The problem is, on a few occaisions I have banned a players GUID and a totally different player got banned. I am using BERcon and when I type the /ban (guid#) command it bans someone else. Does the player I'm banning need to be in the server at the time I ban them? I have been kicking them and then banning. Any help would be appreciated.

Since yesterday, everytime I log in my character gets an hourglass penalty. I have to sit unconscious for 5 mins everytime. I played for a couple hours last night and I logged off far away from any people or zombies and today I had the penalty hourglass again. It's the 5th straight time. Any fix for this? Thanks.

I might haave been, my atv hit a tree but not knocked out. No I'm at 11k blood and not losing Nope, this is on a public server. The two I play on are Kansas 114 and US 1226 Thanks.

Do you realize how much work that would be, just to appease a few trollers? The logs aren't a few lines of text, it's hundreds of lines. Move on. Nothing to see here. I do think it is odd that the FELLAS guys aren't in here.

Maybe the logs aren't being posted publicly because they contain the IP addresses of all of the accused. Hmmm?

I love this game, but it is being ruined by hacks. I ran into a group of 5 players and all of them Had L85A2 thermals and ghillies. They were driving vehicles that aren't part of dayz. Shortly after the had working choppers. I have been teleport killed and sent to the thunder dome. Something needs to be done.

KienThai, we haven't banned anyone in our server except expected hackers. We do not have chat enabled on our server. I doubt highly that you were kicked or banned for no reason. AND we definatly wouldn't tell you to go play COD.

I am fairly new to Day-z. I just shot a sniper in a guillie suit North of Starry and when I killed him, the server notification came up saying he was killed, but it said he was killed by ME and it was friendly fire. Also, his body dissappeared into the ground right after I shot him. I have the whole thing on Fraps. Is this a hack?????? Thanks.

I just started receiving the same problem error. Just before the game launched, I got a message saying the game had been updated and if I wanted to view the change log. Was there an update today?
