Yes I noticed the restart warning I wasn't aware that it rolled my character back. Next time I will be sure to log off so my character saves.

That server restart just rolled me back half way across the map with no vehicle and I just lost an m249 with 600 rounds I found.... FML

This post is very informative and thank you for taking the time to compose it. I agree with everything here although I do find one part of it to be slightly misleading. Within the current game mechanics, It is entirely possible, ( despite wether or not it's intentional) to roll back a server by restarting it. This may not prevent you from death but It can cause items and tents to be duplicated, vehicles moved to a previously saved position, items recently aquired to not save to the players inventory, and distance traveled to be reverted. This may of course be a flaw in the the way information is saved to the hive server. ( I don't know the reasons... I'm no a dev or tech expert) Finally before anyone attacks me for this post, to sum up my point, abuses of this nature have and do occur and it may be extremely hard for someone to gather up evidence against someone who has done so. I know it wasn't your intention to defend every admin good and bad, but let's not overlook the fact that admin abuse does occur, (mostly because of current design flaws) and they go largely unnoticed. Again thank you and I personally think there are bigger fish to fry then his whole topic in general, especially after the server I was playing on last night was nuked.

Is it possible to tell who was killed in the logs recently? We killed a guy near the coast and he had a DMR both times. Same gear and relatively close timeframe. I would recognize his name if I saw it again

That's the first time I have seen it happen. We were killing a lot of people do I may be some lashback. I actually had a broken leg and was laying in a stairwell when i heard a crunching sound. I briefly was moved into debug with everyone but I didn't die. One out of our group did and another nearly did but was able to bandage with barley any life. So it must not kill every person. Not that I was all that worried I didn't have anything worth losing.

That's what I thought as well but the first guy I killed (John galt?) his body disappeared in about one minute. I wonder where the hell the truck got to... That guy is probably still moving gear off the server from it as we speak

I was alive the entire time right up until the very end where Ivan got me. I didn't log out once. I saw the guy climbing the staircase and though he was with you and was bandaging you. I was tying to zero in the l85 over 700 800 meters. That's where all the shots were coming from. Either way both groups ended up with not much. We lost all our gear and never got the truck back. I was up to 5 murders In that fight alone before Ivan got me:.. Who I thought was actually below me... :-( I guess you guys didn't spend that much time looting us? We were completely loaded each of us had everything but rangefinders. I think manny had been alive for weeks with 30+ murders ! I would have been alive a week longer than that if manny wasn't so trigger happy and killed me in our own camp. Did you guys get any of our l85's?

Yes thanks for the responses fellas. I was a little distraught after all this because you literally destroyed our camp after you were done, as well as the only vehicle you left there. Which originally was what lead me to believe it may have been esp. That is a preference of play-style I suppose. When I raid a camp, I take what I can and move on. As for the altercation in the jeep you may be interested to know how everything turned out on our end. We were on our way back as manny said. We actually had just found a V3S Civilian truck and were in the process of bringing it back. My brother (who apparently doesn't know how to drive) blew up the front two tires on it so we decided to stop at a nearby town to look for a tire. With no success we abandoned the V3S and headed back. Had that chain of events not happened im almost certain we would have ran into you guys as you were looting our camp. So when you shot at us its probably good that you kept moving, for both of our sake... someone was about to die. We doubled back after Manny was doctored up and couldn't find you guys. We will likely stick around though knowing it wasn't cheating that ultimately took down our camp is reassuring.

They were hackers. I just read a post I think is from an admin of that server with similar issues for them last night as well. Its a shame this game is going to be ruined for me because of people cheating. In a matter of 24 hours we had accumulated 4 vehicles and a huge amount of gear, only to have it stolen then the rest destroyed by them.
