Anyone know what could be causing me to have maxed out ping on every server? My internet is running perfectly fine (as witnessed by this post), but every time I try to join a server it moves laggy as hell and once I click play one of three things happens. One, i get dropped. Two, it gets about a third of the way through loading the game and stops. Three it takes 5-10 minutes to load and then I get kicked/dropped. I usually use dayz commander but ive tried through Arma proper also. Thanks in advance.

It's only in Arma I tried other things and they all work fine

I installed everything, opened up arma2 and arma 2 op arrow, and now the beta patch won't update in commander any thoughts? **edit** it is saying wrong cd key

arma 2 is the only one that plays the other ones error out and give me the cd key thing OA and Beta respectively

While I have no love for meta gaming of any kind other than planning ahead, I'm nothing if not spiteful. So with that being said. Would there be any way for you to publish a heat map of just my epic travels? I could care less if people know where I am. I shoot on sight, preferably my friends. Even the driftwood is good my whole post is to the point that there is no matter where i am there is something nearby that can be used as a weapon to at least defend yourself. Gimme a starting axe!

i just want a 1/10 chance of starting with a civilian firearm I think that's fair. I personally have an armory, complete with well a lot of things i won't admit to, but i realize not everyone does. However, a large chunk of the population of the earth is armed, roughly 1/10, so i think its fair that we should get SOMETHING to defend ourselves with off the bat. I mean in ten seconds i could in real life have my hands on maps, a compass, a box of matches, a kind of half assed tool kit, two rifles, a shotgun, and an assortment of ammunition of different sizes and properties, knives, soda, beans, yes beans, meat, or assorted military gear (packs pole-less litter, its for carrying a wounded person, boots, camis+paint) anyway you get the idea. I'm Fucking ready. but I'm not asking for all that. Just a starting weapon 10 percent of the time. So my weapon I vote for should be a .22 rifle or very non-descript pistol of some sort. Hell give me a pump action bb gun that I can pump like 40 times. Oh and who here over the age of 18 DOESN'T have a car? That's a different topic though.

I have hit all the big looting areas, won and lost in pvp and with the exception of finding slightly better gear, ive done most everything. What do you guys do when you get bored?

okay some basic info first windows is on /c steam is on /e and i followed these ( http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9314 ) instructions to the t. everything seems to have gone smoothly but when i try to launch "arma 2 combined operations" all i get is a flash of a dos prompt for about half a second. my question is why?

fun fact the bullet rises after it leaves the barrel. and then drops after so far for an m-16 for example firing in a straight line the bullet will be at the same height at 36 yards and 300 yards! so yeah set it too low and you over shoot too high and you under shoot. At least that's in real life.
