New ArmA X / DayZ player here. I, too, have had success with the 93965 rollback method to play DayZ; although, I used sixupdater first, then deleted the ...\ArmA2\Expansion\beta folder and installed 93965, which may be easier for some people to try before wiping the install. Luckily I don't seem to have picked up anyone else's character - either that, or they died and haven't played since I started. I have a question and concern still, though, and that is what happens when the "Hive" is updated to process the serials / PIDs as mixed strings? The reason I ask is because I'm currently playing under the numeral-only version of my PID, but when the Hive is updated and I can safely run 94103+ ArmA 2 betas, won't it interpret the -AX appended version as a different player? Added to that, what of the poor souls whose characters end up defaced by unwitting ArmA X players "doing the rollback"? How do we know whose is the genuine numeral-only PID, and whose -AX PID corresponds to the numeral-only entry currently in the Hive's database? (I guess there's player names, but that would require reporting in a thread like this, right?) For my own peace of mind, would it be possible to see if my PID was registered before I started playing (about / less than two weeks ago)? PID: 330817(AX) Name: Funambulator For the rest of us, perhaps this is partly why 1.7.2 is taking longer than anticipated.
